Hector Martin / Héctor Martín Cantero / @marcan42 / マルカン / @marcan42x / @marcan@treehouse.systems / Asahi Lina / Asahi Linux - Developer of Asahi Linux with a VTuber persona. Made Byuu's death unbelievable. Constantly accuses others of harassment and abuse. Hates Hacker News and Kiwi Farms.

Why would this dumbfuck who runs a Linux distro think it's a good idea to register his lolicon fap accounts under the same name that he does all of his professional posting under? How is it possible for someone to be so cumbrained that they think this is a cool thing to do? The tiniest bit of effort to minimally obfuscate his identity by using a different fucking name would have prevented @Temperance XIV from finding all of his shit. My bet is that it's a combo of him being desperate for recognition online along with not understanding that non-pedos are grossed out by sexual drawings of 9 year olds. He spends so much time looking at and thinking about this shit that it's become normal to him, and he no longer recognizes that normal people are disgusted by it.

Nothing stands out, aside from being loli ecchi.

Regardless, kill yourself.

It's the same with all pedos, they get away with their terrible opsec for so long it becomes normal to them, so they stop caring about privacy all together. If this is the stuff he's liked/booked marked publicly, one can only imagine what he's got saved locally.

Hector seems to think that everybody else is an idiot. His idea of good opsec is to take the vowels out of his name and change the number at the end.

Really surprised he's not DFE'd yet.

Hm I wonder why so many pedophiles hate The Kiwifarms 🤔

It is sort of freaky how many times people like this do end up just being pedos, it makes me question if pedophilia is a more common problem than I thought, or if it's just because they form social groups of pedophiles so they seem more common.
Not all lolcows are pedophiles but all pedophiles are lolcows.

Asahi Fedora had a small hiccup where a bug during GRUB update rendered the system unbootable

Damn Kiwi(s) sabotaging Tranny Linux again. He is not explaining the root cause, even after he edited it later when the issue was fixed, just threw some u-boot commands (that's the bootloader that runs before GRUB) with no explanation. Not the kind of performance I would expect from a maintainer.

Honestly I'm tempted to remove this workaround and watch all the GRUB systems break with the next kernel update.
GRUB is broken y'all, and this is the kind of nonsense we have to do to keep it from going kaboom.

Something tells me this has more to do with something like say... GRUB shitting the bed trying the code that Hector uses to have Asashi boot or him not even looking looking into why it doesn't boot.

>using GRUB in the Year of Our Lord 2023

Why isn't he just using EFISTUB? Surely Macs support UEFI, right?
As far as I know, the Apple Silicon Macs don't use UEFI anymore and have no support for it anymore. They use a boot process that looks more like iPhones and iPads already uses. There might be UEFI support somewhere in firmware that I don't know about, but macOS gets loaded by some piece of firmware directly in the SoC.

The boot process in an apple silicon mac is more akin to chainloading or what you'd see in a classic mac. Basically Apple ships a stripped down version of MacOS which is signed by them and is the initial thing that boots. In normal operation, this MacOS will load the rest of the stuff needed for a full instance of MacOS and that's how you get to your MacOS desktop. For Linux, this stripped down MacOS will downgrade the hardware security policy to let you run whatever binary you want and then replace the Darwin kernel with Linux (which can bootstrap itself).

In practice, it's not all that different from UEFI, it's just that instead of a separate EFI system partition, MacOS itself is the EFI system partition.

Great jerb, troon. I'm sure this will build confidence in this shitty, weird attempt at a Linux distro.

GRUB has been around since the '90s and Asahi Linux has only been a thing for a couple of years, yet GRUB is the problem?

Hector, my nigga... your code is broken. Fix your shit.

There's nothing engineers love more than to shit on other engineers. If he's not blaming somebody else for it, that means he realizes he's fucked up.

TBH I don't think Marcan wrote the letter unless it had been pre-arranged for him to do so.
I can't see that capsule headed pedoshit loving autist knowing anything about shitty French depressive death metal, when all his musical interests lie in giddy "moe moe kyunkyun heart fight :3 " cringe

I'm not going to post the uncensored versions of those "Restricted (Adult Content)" pictures seen above, so you'll have to take my word for it again. They feature naked Touhou girls having sex with each other.
Out of curiosity and a vague suspicion this was being oversold, I bit the bullet and looked myself. I'll at least provide textual descriptions for those who want to avoid seeing anything.
Most of the SFW content here is totally standard weeb/anime stuff. Lots of Touhou (especially Flandre Scarlet), some Aikatsu. Interestingly there is one nerdish entry where there is a picture that is for an advent calendar for the advanced text editor Vim
Stuff people normal people might find objectionable include (any links below are to the actualy totally SFW Touhou wiki pages):
  • Lots of content of Flandre Scarlet, a character who is actually unironically a 500-year-old vampire that looks like a young girl (and might even be one of the originators of that usage along with her sister Remilia) - There's Flandre in her underwear and a negligee, Flandre stark naked and being kissed by her equally nude sister, Flandre nude again covered by nothing but a pillow she's hugging, Flandre in a yukata that is falling off and about to reveal everything, Flandre in the bath (but actually wearing a towel underwater weirdly)
  • Content involving the Touhou fairies, ageless nature spirits who look and act like children - the hell fairy Clownpiece and the detector fairy Star Sapphire, a visibly aroused ice fairy Cirno with a "womb tattoo"
  • Strangely enough some of these are actually grown women in the original Touhou games, they're just drawn younger-looking here. Koishi and Satori Komeji, the mind-reader satori sisters. Tenshi the celestial.

Touhou does attract a lot of porn, but that's no fault of the series itself, I'd say. It's probably the most popular media franchise in Japan that has all its women completely covered up in its official art. There's no real attempt at 'sexy' from the original creator.

I have to wonder - is Martin even aware his bookmarks are public? It could be like how many people don't know your likes are public on Twitter and Twitter will randomly show your likes to people who follow you.

Isn't there some weird thing where all Pixiv users automatically have a Pawoo account too? Which of his accounts came first? Not like it matters much.

Also it was somewhere in this thread, but Marcan has mentioned that he got to Japan by getting hired at Pixiv.
Pawoo is interesting in that it was a direct competitor to Twitter for a while when Twitter went wild banning people posting anime art. The only reason it has some active users is because of this.
Not all Pixiv users have a Pawoo account, but it's easy to set up a Pawoo account from a Pixiv account and automatically link the two.
Lucky Star, which features a bunch of young moe-style girls and will absolutely cause Japanese people to give you the side-eye if you're reading it as a grown-ass man, and
Lucky Star is one of the definitive series often shown for "age doesn't matter as to how they're drawn". They're all in-series 17-18 or so, but drawn in deformed style so they look like they're just starting highschool. (This isn't counting the sequel where it catches up on them when they're all in their thirties.) I often see it paired with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, where the musclebound hulk of a protagonist looks like he's in his late 20s but in story is 15 or so.
