Maybe Greater Jefferson could become a thing? It's a pipe dream, yeah, but stranger things have happened.
Just combine them all together and make a new state, give Hawaii back to whatever natives still exist there and viola; the flag won't need changing.

Edit:
Wait, let's not do this because it'll give our government another reason to push an omnibus spending bill.

New states made from existing states require all parties involved to agree on the arrangement more or less. The consent of the legislature of the effected places are needed. This all but guarantees unless things get really bad but not all out violent just yet, no secession attempt from one state to another will ever occur as the politicians with something to lose won't willingly deprive themselves of power or sway.

Existing states who ever want to leave the USA legally speaking aren't allowed to leave unilaterally and would most likely be prevented from doing so by force as seen in the American Civil War. From a legal standpoint the secession would most likely not be legally recognized at all.

If there was a new internal conflict though and some parts of a state broke off to form their own and was recognized by the side that ended up winning while the other wasn't, new states could be created then. This is the case of what happened with West Virginia and Virginia. At the time that occurred the whole affair was questionable on if it should of been allowed or not but it made precedent. Nowadays most people say it was fine because another older Supreme Court case said its up for a President and Congress to decide if a state government is a legitimate republican form as guaranteed by the Constitution or not.

You could also just try to leave, fight a war and win and get your independence or acquire it if the government does nothing to stop you. Any laws preventing the exit of an existing state or new state become effectively null and void then in such a situation.

That's the legal situation of secession in the modern USA summarized.

Democrats don't care if their own voters die.

What does that tell anyone else outside the mental asylum.

They going to sacrifice their own to get to their promised land.

Amd unlucky for the rest, the Republican party of the current era is happy to let Californian values win in the long run.

When there are ways to counter their religion of death.

Hawaii will now be getting $16 billion which is still $8 billion less than Ukraine. Maybe if Maui was better at laundering politicians' money, this wouldn't be an issue.

To the surprise of no one, the Democrats are attempting to pull Trump off swing state ballots in a blatant attempt to rig the election 15 months out.

"We called him a bad person and bad people can't run for office. There is no possible way anyone could have any objections to this logic because people who do don't count as having valid opinions since they're bad people."

One of these will go through and it'll be the prompt for the GOPe to declare they can't let Trump be the GOP nominee since he's not eligible in swing states and thus can't win.

Even seeing this shit 5-6 months before they do it it's still fucking tiresome.

And I thought that I had it bad when multiple states secceeded right as I won in 1860.

At least they didn't keep me off the ballot.

A lot of people have the perception that half the country must hate Trump. If that's so. Why did the 2020 Presidential Election need to be stopped in the early hours of the morning?

That is something very interesting to note.

Every poll for the past few decades is always "neck and neck".

Why can something be a blowout poll or I guess this is some boomer thing.

To keep everything 50/50.

Trump is almost 60% in Republican polls though.

The way I'm reading this, what they're saying is that if you're accused of insurrection, your only recourse is actual insurrection. Would seem to be the logical conclusion.

Only because Lincoln was defacto banned in the South due to how elections worked at the time. He was only on the ballot in some counties in Virginia, and nowhere else in the states that became the CSA. But that was because parties had to get a local printer to print ballots which the voter would use to vote for the candidate, and any printer helping the Republicans would get a mob smashing up his shop and any voter voting for Lincoln would get run out of town on a rail, so nobody bothered. This also happened to the pro-secession candidate Breckenridge too in some areas, but he had far greater ballot access than Lincoln.

If elections worked like they did now, they'd definitely use legal technicalities to ban Lincoln.

Damn, its been a 150 years.

Thanks for reminding me.

So history basically is repeating itself.

Goddammit, the cycle has not been broken.

Pushing homoshit down potential recruits' throats is not supposed to be the Army's job either, and yet.....

Son, its been a long time for me and I get the country has been more muttifed and race mixed than ever before.

But is that image aimed at America's enemies or at America itself?

Please tell me its not aimed at America itself.

"What is the punishment for rebellion?"

"Death."

"And the punishment for being late?"

"Death."

"Well. We are already late."

Anecdotal account of the conversation that led to the Dazexiang uprising, the first rebellion that would lead to the fall of the first Chinese Dynasty less than 3 years later.
