I was listening to V-radio tonight (small ?disabled centrist YTuber with ties going back to Occupy WS, has guested on Joe's channel a few times). He specifically talked about how his audience is split between fans who will only watch him live (but never watch his videos) and fans who only watch his videos. He talked about how he's resorted to rescreening his prerecorded videos on his livestreams which his live audiences enjoy, but they still won't go watch independently on their own unless spoonfed.

I suspect it's similar in the legal YT sphere, in that there's not necessarily overlap between trial audiences and channel content audiences.
