Nonces who actually offend, the ones who get caught - non-offending pedos probably exist, but it's hard to quantify because who in their right mind would out themselves - are some of the least trustworthy humans on the planet.

For those that want to offend, actively groom children, their parents and guardians, any attempt at treatment is just feigned to avoid punishment. These are serious predators.

Speak to a prison guard who has had to work on the nonce wing, when they think noones listening all the "sorrys" and "I didn't know what I was doing" etc are gone and they are speaking to their cell mates about raping kids again when they are released. You can't treat people who don't want to be treated - and many pedos are only interested in one thing.

I'm kind of willing to believe he's being set up at this point. There is no way the fat nigger is as retarded as it appears. He reminds me of that borderline retarded, severely autistic kid we had at school.
Some of the other kids were catfishing him like 6 times a year for 3 years on skype. They had pictures of his ass and his dick in weird places like the laundry detergent bottle or in the mayo jar etc. It was sad as fuck because the kid was legitimately mentally disabled and believed it every time some unknown skype account with a girl pfp from google images wanted to be his gf, but only if he sends a pic of his dick with ketchup on like a hotdog. Bear in mind this was in the skype era and sending pictures around was not as easy as it is now, so the kids "pranking" him had to also pretend to be his friends and teach him how to send the images.

I think that era is long gone. Now it's all #BlueLivesMatter and Law and Order! Americans now-a-days aren't gonna do shit. They're too comfortable. Plus they get decades long sentences for protesting election fraud so they're certainly not gonna shoot or castrate any child molesters unless maybe it was their own child.

Talking specifically about people like EDP who get caught in these highly publicized stings but don't go to jail. But what you said is true. Punishment isn't working, and I think that's due to what I said earlier about there being nothing to threaten them with after they've already been fucked over from being caught. If I actually tried to be one of those cringe pedo hunter people, I think I could try that idea I had and keep tabs to experiment and see if the threat of punishment is more effective than punishment itself. Just based off my own experience, threats have worked on me far better than the carrying out of those threats.
