Why is paedo island so paedophilic? You can't read any social history of Britain in the 20th century (I'm thinking specifically of Kynaston) or biography of a prominent entertainer, socialite, or academic and not find a (suspected) victim or (suspected) perpetrator, from insinuations about Peter Cook's time at Radley to the horrors recorded by Lady Glenconner to Mountbatten and Clement Freud. I'm not excusing Americans or anything, but you just don't see it as much in the literature. Is it solely down to the abdication of early parenting to unrelated males, as in boarding schools?
