Greta Gustava Martela / Kjel Anderson & Nina Chaubal / Niraj Chaubal - Stole $350k+ from Trans Lifeline, kill count of 2+ from negligence, Founders of Sisterwood/La Zorra.

I think this is why the questions haven't been asked. The trans community on social media is pretty tight knit. They sorta need one another because jut about all of them have been disowned by at least one person who was close to them in the past and some have lost many people they loved. It is hard because it starts to feel like a second fam and people don't wanna fuck that up. I don't expect that there will be a call out when people start to see that this charity is doing more for the ownership than the people who rely on it, I assume there will be a silent acknowledgement. I mean its just a dumb suicide line to most the people, why make that a hill to die on, especially when all facts align against it.
They haven't even made a compelling case that tran.sgender people experiencing a crisis can't utilize already existing support services and need a separate service just for them. I mean, why is it? The most they have done is simply assert that other services don't take tran.s people seriously without a shread of evidence to back that up.

The spot where it gets really weasly is that TLL is supposedly to help prevent suicides... AND other things issues faced by members of their specific community. Either dedicate yourself to the suicide prevention hotline, or set up a LGBT support group, of which there are already many throughout the world. Having a call center fielding both people on the verge of killing themselves and also, let's say, a young tran.sgender kid wondering how to come out to their friends is fucking stupid. Even if they had their horrific staffing and training issues corrected, how can you justify holding up a line with other bullshit when there are life-and-death calls coming in?

They don't have to back up their anti-911 claims because the SJW give mind already accepts them as fact

This is what they base it on.

I would love to see more on the methods used to perform this research, the numbers, etc. What they are saying here explicitly is that 33% of trannies will NOT call another line, period, and that they will not call that line because of a fear of discrimination or because they do not want emergency services called involuntarily. I have trouble believing the number is that high. I also don't think that they are prepared to perform this kind of research. Greta's background is GIS, Nina's is Comp Sci. Social science isn't their wheelhouse. They should release their surveys and data for review.

This thread make me wish I could access the war room. Alas, I wear the blue badge of shame and am completely useless.

On the bright side, the anticipation is much better than having to read someone call those two a "cute couple"

ಠ_ಠ

Well, what is their definition of being discriminated against by emergency personnel? Being "incorrectly" gendered and not putting up with all of their bullshit like being put in holding and involuntarily committed to a psych ward (i.e. standard operating procedure for someone whom is a severe threat to kill themselves)?

Part of me honestly wonders if the reason they don't use active rescue is because they're aware that their target demographic is tumblrtroons who would actually use a suicide hotline for attention instead of needing genuine help.

You know, like Nora Reed, if she were trans.

I wondered this too. Filing a false police report is a crime and the organization could get into a lot of trouble if they were required to send aid to drama obsessed troons who were faking.

All crisis lines have to deal with that whether they use active rescue or not. Again, it comes down to comprehensive training and strong partnerships with other agencies.

Nah, that's not the issue. It's not a false report to ask for a welfare check on someone who is threatening suicide, and in fact actual mental health professionals suggest that you do to discourage people from using suicide threats for attention.

The issue is if that the organisation makes enough reports that turn out to be over nothing, then the responses might become less urgent and that could ultimately lead to someone dying.

Then the responses might become less urgent and that could ultimately lead to someone dying.

In my experience this isn't really the case. Emergency services will always respond as quickly as possible no matter who it is or who reported it as long as the caller communicates its urgency. Cops or ambulances or fire medics will respond to the same person over and over again if they have to. They might get really pissed and bitch and moan about it, but they'll never blow it off or drag their feet if the call comes out.

I remember reading an interview with a 911 operator who said a. They have an almost inhuman response to danger and block their personal feelings out because professionalism and defensive for all the shit they hear and b. People just call 911 all the time. Just to talk cause they're lonely.
And where I am 911 always deploys an officer regardless of call. Even senile grandma dials and there's no danger and they know it, an offer will be deployed over and over.
