Diseased Rowling Derangement Syndrome - "TERF/Woke Author Bad!!1"

Many of the replies seem to believe this indicates that the game was an absolute failure. Much celebrating about the W over the BITCH. Also suggestions that the "outrage" was manufactured by the studio, right-wingers, etc. rather than troons. Not much interest on the fact that the story is based on a single Reddit comment.

Winner:
maaan you just secondhand spoiled the game for me :(

I am absolutely shocked that a story oriented game that came out months ago has fewer players than a game made to be replayable!
The fact they try to compare two different games: because one is "old". Just admit you don't play video games, or you're doing so casually you don't understand basic stuff like this lol.

8 Months in and /r/gamingcirclejerk still can't get Hogwarts Legacy out of their minds.
It's an incredibly misleading title, implying that Hogwarts Legacy gamers are frustrated because Starfield and Baldur's Gate 3 are more popular, not for, as the article clarifies, content issues completely unrelated to those two games that bothered some players.

At this point it's becoming pretty clear that these airheads can't make up their minds whether the narrative is that everyone is waking up to Rowling's evil and that they're winning or that everyone hates them and they are being hella oppressed.

Is it worth watching? I think Pippa liked it, but she likes a lot of weird things.
Everyone I've seen talk about it has a different take, so it's probably better you see it with no preconceptions. The only thing anybody can agree on is that it's a feminist movie and Ryan Gosling is the best thing in it. Whether it's a creative subversion of typical pro-female tropes, a harmless goofy comedy with some feminist insight, a cringy, misguided attempt at outdated social commentary or a toxic anti-male propaganda film or anything in between is up to what each person expects to get out of it.

The enemy being both weak and strong is one of those traits of fascism said airheads often love blabbering about.

so after months I finally decided to sit down and play the game, and I have 4ish hours in. I grew up with harry potter and despite not giving much of a fuck in a decade, it holds some sentimental value to me. My older brother had to wait with me in line in the middle of the night to get the last book when it came out, which he'll never forgive me for 15 years later. (Unbeknownst to me he was posting on LUE when they mass trolled and spoiled the whole world to the last few books lmfao cool of him not to ruin it for me although he knew what was coming) and I throw either the second or the last movie in probably once a year. I don't play many modern games because I'm hella into modding and everdrives and ODEs and shit, but I play 4/5 a year. And if nothing else this game is a good reference piece for how far game tech has come. I remember being fucking mindblown having as big of a Hogwarts to explore in the first game on ps1 and then again at the size improvements + broomstick travel in chamber of secrets on ps2. and this is basically those games but made now. you wander around learning spells, doing busywork and collecting wizard cards & shit with lore nobody is going to read. I love it. Will I play a sequel? No probably not, but I'll 100% this one and want it to get made to watch the tranny meltdowns happen again over nothing.

It's hilarious all of my high school/college friends that are potter fans are completely MATI that their favorite writer is a TERF.

All their tumblr brains thought she would be /theirgal/ :story:
I live quite close to a college campus, and the number of people (girls) I see wearing wizzard-merch is staggering. I would not have been caught dead in childrens book fan-wear at that age. What happened to faking being an adult till you make it?

it's just weird how literally you can live off of exclusively pop culture merch. clothes, tools, kitchen utensils, you fucking name it. my favorite game since I was a kid is zelda link to the past and a good friend of mine bought me a t shirt of the cartridge somewhere and my lady is always laughing at me for refusing to wear it anywhere but dude, faggots surround me every time we leave the house and I'm in it wanting to talk to me. I pointed it out to her and she noticed it and thinks it's hilarious. I don't. believe me those zelda people are not anyone you'd want approaching you. at least the wizard women while most likely blissfully ignorant of the fact they're doing it, are unintentionally somehow stomping on the rights of, and contributing to the genocide of trans women by wearing their stupid t-shirts, I just get followed by sweaty virgins or fat girls.

“…the racial stereotypes that she used while creating characters, the incredibly white wizarding world, the fat shaming, the lack of LGBTQIA+ representation, the super-chill outlook on the bigotry and othering of those that don’t fit into the standard wizarding world, and so much more.”
I'm going to indulge myself by refuting these lazy aspersions.

I can't think of any racial stereotypes in the books besides that Arab wizards fly on flying carpets, which is objectively cool.

The most beloved two characters in the whole series, Molly Weasley and Hagrid, are fat.

No shit there's no gay shit in a book for kids!

Finally, one of the central messages of the books is that when people feel like they don't fit in, they're inclined to react badly and lash out at others. (Snape, Voldemort) It's like this person hasn't even seen the movies.

If these asshats are expecting gay shipping and other kinds of gay shit in a Harry Potter book, they need to look elsewhere. These asshats praise shit such as The Owl House for basically doing the exact same goyslop gay shit.
