Sometimes I wonder if Jerry has just entirely checked-out of the domestic scene, and abdicated all his parental responsibilities at home, thus leaving the care, feeding, and education of the girls wholly up to his narcissistic whale-wife.

It seems as if he lives the entirety of his life at work, preferring to imagine that Kelly is at home filling the role of "trad homemaker"...

...when the reality is that Kelly is a lazy, useless, self-absorbed, dependapotamus to whom her daughters are a distant afterthought, as her children rate far below posting horrifying semi-noodz online and snarfing down midnight snax of fried chicken in bed.

He's busy being a complete and utter failure as both a husband and Father. but as others have said he's outsourced the parenting to Kelly and is somehow completely okay with his daughters getting fattened up and I'm sure eventually troond out by his outright evil wife.

I was previously under the impression he was too autistic to care and it was Kelly driving the bus on having kids.

I don't want to *dunk on autism for the sake of it, I just don't think he's capable of thinking in such a long perspective. Plus, girls can play videogames too, like boys you need to teach them first, that is, interact with them. Maybe he tried to share his special interests but they sucked because young and doing something for the first time, and he wanted to play, not to teach, so he just said eh and moved on.

Another thing to keep in mind is that narcs will destroy relationships for shits and giggles. I have a couple of narc female relatives and they both used access to their children like a weapon against the rest of their family. Grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins etc... all of them had their access blocked, granted, blocked again etc, and on the few occasions that they were able to get close to the kids, the kids were such awful, unbearable little swine that there was utterly no point to any of it.

Whatever Jerry's motivations for having kids, between Kelly destroying any possible relationships, and destroying the kids themselves, there's no way in hell Jerry is ever going to be able to have a meaningful relationship with either of his girls. The only possible way he could salvage the situation is to kick Kelly out of the house forever, quit work, and basically put both himself and the kids into twenty four hour behavioural modification classes for the next decade or so.

I didn't say it would happen, but it is 100% possible. One of the best things you can do if your life is in shambles around you and you're in hell is to look inward and say, "What can I do to fix it?" as a man. Jerry can absolutely turn his family around.
