I don't know what shithole of a country holds courts during war on such cases.
on serious crimes regarding the war, i.e. treason, any form of cooperation with the enemy, any form of action trying to block/undermine the operations of the country you are in, there is no trial. Only a bullet to the head.
during my service I spent countless nights doing night watch guarding the various facilities and almost everywhere there where 2 documents side by side mentioning this

Some official specifically said they hired him because Americans love trannies so much, and while Ukrainians may find it distasteful, he is ultimately supposed to appeal to the American audience.
Lira said he was super tortured in prison (IIRC some conspiracy about the guards bribing inmates to mess with him, as if they needed to do that, Kremlin shills wouldn't exactly be popular) and the guards turned a blind eye to his injuries (then why not just do it themselves if they cover it up either way).
Notably he did not provide any evidence of any injuries while he was on the loose, but he did have time to let authorities know where he was and where he intended to illegally cross the border so they could re-arrest him.

I have no sympathy for Gonzalo. In the opening days of the war, he was streaming in a cafe, POINTING HIS CAMERA at Ukrainian soldiers, acting like a schizo and mostly likely intentionally trying to provoke some sort of reaction he could get views from.
Anyone with any sense would understand that that was exactly the type of bad idea that could result in some persecution, and it still took months of extra faggotry to catch up to him.
