I mean, I.... kind of get it. Gays are a lot easier to stomach than troons (Not in a literal sense though, screw off I don't swing that way). I've enocountered a lot of chill gays too, even though I oppose gay marriage. But at the same time, I feel like in 2050, these people will be like "Oh we don't care about genderfluid 10 year olds being able to get a sex change surgery, it's just non consensual necrophilia we're against"

- mainstream conservatism is a break pad, pretty much just liberals from 20 years ago. They actually help liberalism the way a breaking system is necessary for a high speed train, otherwise it would fly off curves or run through yellow or red signals.
- mainstream conservatism was pathetic about gay marriage and homosexuality. They just conceded that homosexuality is an innate born characteristic, and their opposition to gay marriage was not much more than bible thumping, as opposed to explain how it defines deviancy down, that when homosexuality becomes mainstream the next thing down the line becomes fringe.
- in relation to transgenderism, many socalled conservatives state "what an adult does with his own body is not my concern, it is children and minors. Peter Boghisian always trots this out in the most pathetic, milquetoast manner. There are others. This is unacceptable, for the same reason we do not let citizens engage in harmful narcotics (at least not yet). And what individuals do DOES affect everyone else.

I think you have the order wrong. Twitter accounts critical of reddit have posted screenshots of redditors attempting to justify incest, provided one is an adult and they dont have kids. Any conservative who doesn't care about gay people is just another to add to the long list of other conservatives who started yielding ground when their side suffered setbacks and just established a new normal where they admit defeat and assume everything will be fine afterwards. LGBT at this point comes as a package and this has been the arrangement for the past couple decades. Even though some of those in LGB groups are against the T it's not substantial enough opposition and far more appear to support them then don't.

It's a long running theme in American political history for when one side passes some massive legislation that changes a great deal of things it will stay in place because it's too difficult to undo and due to that their ideological rivals just practically give up on the issue altogether because of the political will and effort needed to reverse it is too much. A great deal of social programs come to mind here, among other things.

A wise Roman poet once said "A victor is not victorious if the vanquished does not consider himself so". Modern "progressives" cannot be defeated by adopting their position from 10 years ago when a setback occurs. When you accept their agenda in even a slight way, it's not even a loss, it is outright surrender. They'll inevitably move onto some new cause while you're stuck in political slow motion. Then when if things change again, the whole cycle repeats.

Recovering from defeat is hard but the reality is supporting someone's ideas entirely or gradually adopting their views at a glacial pace accomplishes the same objective in the long term. In society there will always be people yearning to alter or change something for whatever reason and it is up to other people in that same society to tell them at some point to stop for better and for worse.

Counterpoint: Scott weimer and the laws he’s got / getting through: decriminalising knowing transmission of HIV, allowing the state to take your kids if you don’t troon them out/ putting the concept of a willing minor into law in the context of decriminalisation of sodomy of children. This stuff is a slippery slope. What benefits the individual isn’t always good for society. All sexual degeneracy needs to be frowned on. Does that suck for anyone same sex attracted who is monogamous? Yes it does.
Most societies have taboos, and we are just removing them without asking why they are there in the first place. Never take a fence down unless you know why it was put up.
The reason they say it is because if you’re against gays in any way you can be done for hate speech or shut down on that basis before anyone hears the argument. It’s the verbal equivalence of lambs blood on the lintel

That's why I'm against the whole damn LGBT, but what even gives LGBT a leg to stand on in the first place is that we as a society seem hypocritical because of straight varieties of sexual immorality getting a pass.

It's easier for them to make the argument that it's none of our business what anyone does if we don't value morality and allow for prostitution, fornication, pornography, etc. In fact, there's even a contingent of men who make allowances for lesbianism in particular, and this just lets them get their foot in the door.
