Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

Every Luigi's Mansion so far has released around Halloween
Checking now and Dark Moon was March. The original was "around" Halloween I guess, halfway through November.

There was an apparently Japan exclusive arcade LM (I saw this at a local arcade though), which was June, but it basically doesn't count.

Long as they don't notice it or the fact that it's from a KF user it SHOULD be fine. Or you get into a Wikipedia esque slapfight with the autistics there. Lot of the jannying is being upheld by like two or three people at this point. The rest rely on snitches or are too busy dilating or something.
I've been a user there for a while and since its not using the same name as my KF name, they won't notice.

Just a reminder, Nintendo supported the 3DS for literal years after the Switch was released, and will probably do the same with Switch due to its massive userbase. I wouldn't be surprised to get one additional gen 9 pokemon game on it, for example. And probably more remasters/remakes.
Yeah, i was broke I couldn't get the switch on release, but I remember dropping some cash on Ever Oasis and it kept me going for months.

Where? I don't see it.

Listening to the SMRPG music now and it's fine. Does lose a bit of the charm but whats on offer is a decent translation.

Honestly an improvement even, Squeenix has a bad track record of remaking music. The secret of mana remake being the worst I can think of since it is a complete mess, with like 10 different composers(ranging from the original guy to a god damn mac hipster DJ) all rearranging the tracks without any regards towards a unified style. There's "better" examples but it seems like squeenix likes to DMCA the fucking thing. To their credit though for most of these they always give you the option of just using the original soundtrack.

Yeah, This direct was sure interesting huh? Well looks the switch is getting alot of remakes and remasters which implies new hardware is definitely on the way some point next year. As i think the 3ds was similar in it's own later years mainly just getting ports with the occasional new game. But who knows, I think maybe the February direct if there will be one next year maybe the last nintendo direct to highlight new switch titles.

I doubt this is like a 3DS situation. The Switch will be treated more like a home console than anything, and Nintendo tends to move on from their home consoles quickly. The 3DS was supported for so long because it didn't really have a direct successor (like the 3DS was to the DS). Once the Switch 2 is out, the original probably won't get new games at all unless its a few smaller third parties still releasing stuff to try to take advantage of the large install base. At best, Nintendo may do a few cross platform releases, ala Breath of the Wild, but those will probably dry up quickly, unlike what happened with the PS5, where cross platform games became its entire library.

It probably depends on just how fast the successor sells and if they can keep up with demand.

Cross Generation has basically became the standard now. It wouldn't cost them much to just release an inferior version of games on the Switch for a few years as long as they sell.

Hey, it turns out the Mario RPG remake will let you use the original SNES music. I'll probably still use the new music regardless of its quality, but it's great that the option is here.

It also has an easy mode, but no word on hard mode.
If there's no hard mode then I hope it's at least rebalanced to be more difficult by default, especially considering the new stuff they're adding to combat.

Switch is a special case, it's the first time they don't have a second system to fall back on. 3DS kept them chugging through the failure of the Wii U, if Switch 2 bombs they're kinda fucked. I think they're gonna play it careful for a while, if they're smart.
