The pH one I find interesting, because if the surgery used live intestinal wall tissue - which some do - and it's producing mucous as it should be, the pH will never fall within a healthy range of what vagina - instead of a festering shotgunned lasagne - would actually reach. At best you're getting pH of 5.6-7; but realistically a pH of 6.7 is more likely because of where the graft is normally taken from (Sigmoid colon).

So I definitely think they have some bacterial colonies festering in that nurlge cavern; but not the same ones that naturally colonise a vagina. Horrifying.

Experienced a bit of wound dehiscence as my stitches all kinda starting coming apart after the last update (week1) but they feel and look to be filling in. Nicely
I've been very diligent with my wound care and I think it's showing.
Still very swollen, especially on the left side.
I apparently should have been on Oxy for this but I hadn't and my icing wasn't very diligent cause it caused more pain, but now that I have some I've been able to ice.

One thing my wife and I frequently talk about is how the idea of attractiveness has been destroyed. We can look at buildings in our societies but especially with fashion. People (mainly younger than us) seem to want to dress and look as hideous as possible. Terrible ill-fitting clothes. Horrible tattoos. Working out is alt right. Then you also see it in the older trans. Wearing outfits that look ridiculous. When I look at these horrific surgeries. Is the same thing in effect? Where they literally have been programed to not notice the horrific nature of how they now look? There's all the genitals that look like a chainsaw accident, but things like top scars? It seems like a celebration of looking awful. So much so there is no demand for the surgeons to be able to make it not look like they just an axe.

Arm scars from the flesh tube construction is not seen the same, from what I can tell. Removal of the breasts is symbolic, it's a ritualistic part of the process.

The penis is created using a free flap rather than a pedicled flap.

So, all of the other too good to be true promises from O'Brien-Coon (can't get over that name, fuck) aside, this fact alone should be a major red flag for aspiring pooners. A flap is "free" when it's completely detached from the donor site and its blood supply in order to be transferred to another area of the body. A pedicle flap, on the other hand, remains attached to the body via at least one major artery and vein and is simply repositioned.

A free flap must be surgically reattached to the main circulation. In most cases, this is fine, and free flaps have several advantages. Namely, a free flap is very versatile and can be used to repair large soft tissue defects. The result is often aesthetically and functionally superior, but the microsurgical techniques required to reestablish the anastomoses between the vasculature of the flap and the wound area are highly specialized and require specific training and skills. This also means that free flap surgeries take longer, requiring the patient to remain under anesthesia for a longer duration.

Pedicle flaps are less technically demanding and don't require any special skill or training beyond the standard plastic surgery curriculum. The problem is that their size is limited, and obviously, one can only move a chunk of tissue so far from its origin without severing blood vessels. This means there are limited areas suitable to donate tissue for a pedicle flap reconstruction in any given region of the body. Pedicle flaps may be bulkier and less elastic than their free counterparts.

If ANY of these surgeons had proven that they possess the requisite skills to perform a free flap phalloplasty, this option from O'Brien-Coon would be great. However, the major risk with a free flap is interruption of blood flow between the flap and the wound bed. Even a brief period of ischemia will kill the flap. There have been multiple cases in this thread of a pooner complaining that the "pulse" of her neophallus became undetectable following surgery, and the result is uniformly predictable as it is grim: extensive necrosis of the flap, massive tissue loss, and inferior aesthetic outcome.

O'Brien-Coon is just like the others, promising something he cannot deliver. No matter what the butchers and their pooner acolytes claim, I think it's abundantly clear that given current instrumentation and techniques, there is no way to perform phalloplasty surgery with a satisfactory outcome.

Finally, it's unbelievable to me that these surgeons are so candid regarding the fact that they're experimenting on human beings. This guy is basically like, "You know what would be cool?" with zero evidence of its feasibility, and he's going to have willing customers.
