Businessman DSP pays extra to play a game early, goes on a day off the same day it comes out, decides to maybe do a stream anyway (which basically NEVER happened before), but not the game everyone is looking for, but shitty SF6. I'm skeptical about momwife troubles being the cause of the impromptu stream. A person would play video games to cool off or distract themselves from something bothering them if they actually enjoyed playing video games which we know Phil does not. Since DSP is limited by only thinking about himself, the better comparison for the Unity situation would be to YouTube. YouTube is a free platform, but decides to change policy so that the creator is charged a fee for each watch their channel gets on the formerly free platform, whether the video is monetized or not, whether it gets adsense or not, etc. There. Comparison in simple terms that DSP should be able to understand, and somehow it eluded him.

After seeing Bossmanjack streams I can say with 100% certain that Phill streams would be far more interesting/fun and attract a larger audience if he fully embraced the gambling and made content around it
