Historically, the inverse is much more common. Whites have a documented history of uniting into lynch posses and klan rallies and harming/intimidating/harassing/extralegally murdering blacks in the name of tradition, justice, or race. It's a construct.
But it's a rather necessary and inevitable one, for very simple reasons.
If I take you, I, some horrible hohol fascist, some wine sipping French and some buck toothed Angloid and you set all of us in front of a BLM mob angry cause some dude got shot, ALL of us will get beaten and/or killed because we look white to them.
Black violence during protests isn't planned ahead of time. Property damage and looting is more common than violent altercations with other people. BLM has no history of targeting random white people near the protest area on the basis of race. Data regarding BLM propensity for violence follows:
The vast majority of demonstration events associated with the BLM movement are non-violent (see map below). In more than 93% of all demonstrations connected to the movement, demonstrators have not engaged in violence or destructive activity. Peaceful protests are reported in over 2,400 distinct locations around the country. Violent demonstrations,6 meanwhile, have been limited to fewer than 220 locations — under 10% of the areas that experienced peaceful protests. In many urban areas like Portland, Oregon, for example, which has seen sustained unrest since Floyd’s killing, violent demonstrations are largely confined to specific blocks, rather than dispersed throughout the city (CNN, 1 September 2020).
So, most BLM protests are mostly peaceful. The ones I have attended were peaceful. Nobody involved tried to hurt me just because I was white, and whites were welcome to take part in the protest. BLM violence at protests is limited to property damage and theft. Not murder in cold blood. There are credible, verified reports of white gang-affiliated provocateurs catalyzing violence at BLM demonstrations by being the first ones to throw stones. You all are just DARVOing and accusing black people of atrocities that white people have a storied history of committing. If the purpose of BLM was to repay atrocities committed against blacks with an eye for an eye, these protests would end with dead white people, and they do not.Despite the media focus on looting and vandalism, however, there is little evidence to suggest that demonstrators have engaged in widespread violence. In some cases where demonstrations did turn violent, there are reports of agents provocateurs — or infiltrators — instigating the violence. During a demonstration on 27 May in Minneapolis, for example, a man with an umbrella — dubbed the ‘umbrella man’ by the media and later identified as a member of the Hells Angels linked to the Aryan Cowboys, a white supremacist prison and street gang — was seen smashing store windows (Forbes, 30 May 2020; KSTP, 28 July 2020). It was one of the first reports of destructive activity that day, and it “created an atmosphere of hostility and tension” that helped spark an outbreak of looting following initially peaceful protests, according to police investigators, who believe the man “wanted to sow discord and racial unrest” (New York Times, 28 July 2020).
