The goods news in no President is ever going to fix the shit show from the 08 crash and frankly I am amazed and almost impressed by all the Presidents since then to have avoided footing the bill.

I don’t envy who wins in 2024. I earnestly believe that whoever that President is; goes down as taking the final can-kick.

Part of me wouldn’t mind seeing Trump get the smack for it; and on the other hand I find it agreeable to see Kamela also wear it.

Oh decisions decisions!

One thing to consider: Trump has experience with bankruptcy procedures.

If Biden does withdraw it would have to be within the next ~60 days. Nevada's Presidential application filing is due by mid-October and half the remaining states explicitly require it in November/December. The Dems will want to ensure any chosen successor is on the ballot for every state because it's not a good look when Trump will be on all 50. That bit alone reduces the likelihood, but it's Clown World; anything is possible.

Problem is that unlike a regular company the Government actually IS "too big to fail".

No one will allow for the budget to be balanced, there will be no accounting to hold accountable and no departments to have the funding cut. No useless managers and suits to fire. No sectors to sell off and no merchandise and properties to auction off.

The entire thing is so hilariously over budget and behind schedule that if it was actually a company it would make Enron look honest.

We may not have a choice in the matter, hyperinflation is just around the corner. Especially if the Democrats choose to cut the brake lines

Trump right now is well outside the margin of fraud, to the point where when he does win, it makes 2020 look blatantly stolen for even a fag like Ben Shapiro.
Not contesting the point that Ben Shapiro is a fag, but I'm less and less certain that there's such a thing as the "margin of fraud". After watching the administration throw people in jail for political speech and fight tooth and nail to keep doing blatantly unconstitutional shit in Missouri v. Biden, would you really say that they're looking at this from a perspective where there's a limit to their fraud because it would be too obvious after a certain point, or are they more likely to to do absolutely whatever it takes to get the White House again, and the main reason they want the race to be as close as possible is just to make the cover-up afterwards as easy to swallow for the public as possible. If I had to pick, I'd go with #2.

You massively underestimate these people and just how badly the addiction to money and power can affect them. Look into what sort of shit Enron was pulling, and consider what someone like that would have done if they had access to legal ways to simply force bean counters to write complete bullshit at gunpoint and to blackmail people attempting to check the books with literal nukes.

The fashion of the time during the civil war I think, you would leave that part open to put your hand in. I don't know exactly why.

I thought I heard it was because a major general had chronic stomach pains and it allowed him to clutch his stomach without it looking unintended?

Though looking up the Wikipedia page and google seems it indicate it was just that era's duckface.

It's gotta be Hillary

If Biden bows out for whatever reason they must have a back up plan and Hillary is the only one left with a chance in hell to unite the vote.

The question is not does she want it but rather will she risk it?

Losing to Trump twice as a legacy...ouchies. So I guess if she announces in the next few days we know the fix is already in and can start to plan accordingly.

After all...it's HER turn.
