I don’t think he’s got the mental fortitude for pure gonzo journalism tbh. You have to be fucked in the head in a specific way to survive fields like that without giving into the temptation of easy friends, approval, and a hugbox. As an example , I often go into the field amongst troons and the most embarrassing animefags because it’s funny and I don’t see them as people. He went into the field and humanized his subjects so it backfired spectacularly.

You guys give him too much credit by saying 'he got in too deep' or whatever. His first furry video is basically a fluff piece for the entire community at a time when a bunch of people like Metokur aggressively made fun of them. The entire content of the video is basically 'Initially furries just wanted to have fun and depict themself as animals. Yeah, there were some deviants but then there was this epic furry civil war and the burned furs stood against them! And today, everybody basically has their own definition of what a furry actually is, guys!' It was the most milquetoast and forced 'neutral' depiction of the furry community possible. I remember being really disappointed when it first came out but in hindsight it makes sense.

I'm looking at Fredrik Knudsen's vtuber model and it looks familiar to me. That's because it looks very similar to another vtuber, a Hololive vtuber with nearly a million subscribers Nanashi Mumei.

Skimming through the gay lore videos this is what I noticed. Let's see owl theme, hooded outfits, the outfits themselves look similar, are some kind of guardian of mankind, and their hair kinda looks similar too.
There's no way Fredrik didn't know about her and I think he is aping Mumei's design and "lore" a bit much. Not very original Knudsen. BTW for those who don't know, female vtubers are way more popular than male ones. The male ones reach no where near the numbers they do. So we'll see where Fredrik is in a year.

Also I found a FourthOracle (Knudsen username and prior channel before Down The Rabbit Hole) Reddit account. Apparently at some point he wanted to really be a League of Legends game commentator. All things considering the state of eSports in 2023, he's probably better off in this timeline.
