I've not fully researched it, but the address history of Mr. Drexel's father (Fred Douglas Yarborough) seems to suggest that Drexel was possibly raised himself mostly by his mom.

Some of the address history suggests that his father moved to Las Vegas in 2003 without his wife. Then at some later time she moved out there to be with him. Generally he also seems to have lots of previous address changes around the minneapolis-st. paul area before that which he doesn't share with his wife. Trying to get information about the nature of Drexel's parent's marriage is difficult with Nick's constant interruptions and how easy it is for Drexel to get sidetracked and forget things. A lot of what Drexel does is bring up half-baked points that are segues into other half-baked points to add credibility to a point that was lost long ago.

Watching a clip right now where Drexel is trying to explain why his parents had issues and Nick butts in, laughing an lisping "beacuth your dad is hilariouth" and then proceeds to tell a story that he thinks is funny about Drexel's dad (which had nothing to do with the mom) and Drexel never returns to the point.
