Would be interested in timelines for this (reply to this or DM if inclined). Drexel often presents that he grew up in a two-parent household, but also claims that his aversion to marriage came from watching his parents.

Below is the information I have. It was information from free sites and I've linked the best sources at the end for archiving or whatever you want to do with it.

In summary, Mr. Drexel's mom lived in the Lakeville house (where Mr. Drexel still lives) at least as far back as 1986. The father seems to have lived there until some point in the 1990s. He is definitively proved not to be living at the house by 1997. In 2003, the father buys a home in Las Vegas and seems to have moved there but also has a minnesota address as late as 2009.

The parents never seem to have divorced and the address information shows them as living at the same address in Las Vegas as of at least 2020.

The father seems to be clearly proven to be gone from the house by the time Mr. Drexel was 14. But he could have been gone earlier. The residential information on people tends to get more incomplete going backward in time.

As best we know about Nick, his parents both worked when he was young and (according to him) he was somewhat left to himself. His parents seem like pretty smart and well-organized people though. In Nick's case, it might be rebelling against a well organized house in childhood. Or else one can simply blame everything in Nick's case on his alcoholism. At least these days, he seems to find difficulty in leading any kind of organized life.

Kayla's entire background suggests that she started out wanting to be a super baby factory and overly doting mother wanting to homeschool an army of kids. But time and lots of kids can create disorganization even in parents who start out with the best of intentions. She also has to deal with Nick who I suspect might as well be another child.
