You and I both read the NSFL things about what happened to those poor puppies (I don’t even like dogs that much but that is beyond fucked up). I think the vast majority of humanity agree that torturing animals like that is crazy fucked up and the people who do it should be subjected to a similar experience before they are put down.

My point is that it’s not humanity that needs to be nuked, just that we need to crack down on the worst people in our society. All they get is some years in jail, and I’d argue that that is not enough.

This sort of thing was normal(ish) in medieval European society, especially with cats, but we have evolved our society to be better than that and those who do it don’t belong in modern day.

Very shortly after farmers informed police, a group of Reddit faggots also figured out who he was, made contact, but then promptly blasted his identity as loudly as possible online— Risking proceedings and potential evidence at that point. They continued publicly flaming him (doing things like reaching out to people like Dogpatch for interviews) and also causing wider circulation of 1B9P via places like TikTok, as well as weird misinformation like angry vigilante neighbors burning his property, which obviously never happened.

I believe farmers sat on the information/arrest silently until misinformation hit this thread, wanting to give the legal system the best chance to do what it needed to, but I don't recall exactly.

I believe somewhere in thread is censored emails we shared between the task force (which specialized in children exploitation; they knew what they were dealing with pretty immediately) responding to the email(s), but I couldn't tell you a good search term other than maybe posts by me in this thread.

From all of my knowledge, users from this site were first to inform the police and get them started on the investigation, however the group on Reddit that was also looking into him found out his actual identity after his arrest first. There were a lot of folks on the internet that were out to get him.
The Reddit group seemingly reached out to the correct rehoming group that recognized one of the dogs he 'adopted', although its unknown if that was the silver lining that the police needed to arrest him.
The whole situation has been kept largely quiet here due to the court's gag order and us wanting to make sure Adam got convicted, despite him going viral on other parts of the Internet.
Lately, however, I've been asking myself if the court's silence was ever going to be lifted.
For over a year now I've thought about making a documentation on Adam Britton, the investigation KiwiFarmers put into finding him as well as Reddit, and all the misinformation along the way. Believe me there was A LOT of misinformation coming out of Reddit, lets just say the Screamerwiki gives a good glance at the situation but there is a lot of facts that are presented as truth that are false or even made up.
At the end of the day all that truly matters is the guy is locked up and can no longer hurt anything.
