I’ve always thought that people who were interested in this game were weird as fuck.

Why would you wanna play an anime game where you’re an underage, rapey stalker who wants to stalk and rape a young man to the point where you’d meticulously plan out murder-suicide on other underage girls. This is your power fantasy?

Say nothing of the man who’d spend a decade engulfed in nothing but that and the kind of people who enjoy it. This was inevitable.

please understand there were no new hitman games that year and wouldn't be for two more years.
Actual answer: playing as a psycho character with zero redeeming values is something you never see in mainstream games. Even Kratos was fighting for revenge. Yandere person is fighting to steal someone's love interest for herself.

for some reason I had Yandere Simulator figured in my head as some kind of 2D visual novel type game that came out ages ago. but I have to say that despite my mistaken impression, there were zero surprises in the OP, lol. and with regard to the flirting-with-a-minor thing, my third eye tells me this definitely isn't the first time it's happened by a long shot, I would not be even remotely surprised if his drives are spilling over with CP which was at least partly acquired from his own Discord. he is absolutely a raging pedophile. for one, he's got that absolutely repulsive victim complex where he's always posting three thousand page screeds bemoaning the haters and claiming to be Just Misunderstood™. not every person with that personality type is a pedophile, but that personality type seems curiously common among them. also, "consume the cum chalice" is now permanently burned onto the otherwise flawlessly smooth surface of my brain.

I see a dude named YandereDev hanging around saltybet sometimes, I always wonder if that's him.

There were other avenues that could’ve been explored in a stealth game if irredeemability was the goal, though. Blackmail, bullying and character assassination aren’t good things but they’re a hell of a lot more appropiate in a school setting with underaged characters than the murder, spree killing, and undertones of sexual violence that are in the game now.

You could blackmail, bully, or character assassinate in yansim. It wasn't just random stabbing. There were an autistic amount of victory conditions you could pull off in it. You could also play matchmaker, do a huge favor for the rival so they let you have your stalking victim, or pay the yakuza to kidnap her into "unspecified slavery" and/or organ harvesting.

And no I never played it but i would watch the dev video blogs.

I feel like if you removed the pedo aspects of the game and made it, say, like that real life case of that woman who nearly murdered her escort in japan or something, you could actually have an argument of a hitman style game of an irredeemable woman who wants to get her way. It'd still be sick and weird but there you could at least tell retards who tell you this is your sexual fantasy thus makes you a nigger that they're retarded. Clearly these type of games have an audience and it doesn't necessarily mean that audience are degenerates even if the creator is, but when you cross a certain line like adding certain themes into it (Mainly, the whole underage sex pest bullshit) there's no real justification for it.

There’s a part of me that wants to do what I usually do, and type out a massive essay where I over-explain absolutely every single detail about the entire situation, provide context to absolutely everything, go point-by-point down the list of every possible fact that could make the situation easier to understand.

But, no, I’m not going to do that.
*proceeds to do exactly that*

if you did it in a grindhouse crazyperson kinda Kane and Lynch 2 style you might have something compelling, here.
Yeah exactly. Like the concept itself doesn't necessarily need to be as shit as it is now. But you know, Alex needs to pretty much tell the world what we already knew even before the game was being worked on. :story:

Yeah, I do remember the really fucking weird yakuza thing with the purple haired girl now that you brought it up. My point was that the non-lethal methods of disposing of rivals shouldn’t have been an alternative solution to obstacles, they should’ve been the sole focus and the key selling point.

Alex could still keep the yandere theme and emulate many of Hitman’s game mechanics without contriving a myriad of weird scenarios that entail the gruesome elimination of high schoolers to gratify the player’s murder boner. That would have automatically made the game 10 times less disgusting and cringeworthy than it actually is, while still retaining the mental illness and edginess.

The concept I think is okay, Hitman has a simple concept of killing certain individuals and on that notion alone it can be boring but the world around the concept itself is what makes it truly stand out. YanSim has no fucking world built around it other than “Japan, high school, panty shots, kill people” which is cliche’, stupid and boring.

A list of the currently known Voice Actors/volunteers that have parted ways can be found here. The current total is 6 VAs past and present and one volunteer that no longer want to be involved in the project. Four other VAs have liked/retweeted Michaela Laws' statement but not yet explicitly stated that they're leaving as well, including the VA of Osana (the first rival).

With Kubz Scouts gone, it seems like every major Yandere Simulator let's player is turning against the game and Alex. It's really over.

this is wrong. you can delete whatever you want on discord, but discord still keeps logs of everything on their servers, including deleted content . it's not accessible by the public but when the cops come to discord HQ with a court order they get to se all of it: what was posted, when was it posted, by which account, from which IP, when was it deleted, etc.
Reminds me of that incident with leaked Air Force documents in a gay black Minecraft porn discord group that got some guy raided by FBI. Thank you for the correction btw
