This thread is doomed to die because there are no such spaces anymore. Lance Hart was at one time spamming every porn website with his descent into degeneracy going from regular straight porn, to femdom straight porn, to femdom straight porn, to femdom straight porn including crossdressing, to TS porn, to TS porn including crossdressing, to gay porn (He's worked with fellow lolcow Collin Simpson) to gay porn including his crossdressing, all the while having an article on cracked (probably written for him, since the vaguely inbred appearance doesn't exactly suggest high literacy) about how miserable he felt about it all. Him trooning out was hardly a surprise.
Logan Vaughn was underwhelming as a muscle man, not to sound like an asshole, but he always had an off quality to him, picture attached for hilarity.
He was an obviously, improperly roided twink who developed a certain kind of build that looks half-baked and eerie. If he were to roid up at least he should have made the most of it but his body suggests a body that had developed some muscle due to roids but an overall lack of the gym commitment needed to made the huge disadvantages of taking stereoids worth it, and at that he does remind me of Allen King.
Now, in gay porn, roids are given like candy because it gives the models some edge and almost everyone in gay porn, unless this is some rather niche genre like, say, Helix Studios, is on roids. However, the studios cannot force models to actually train, eat well and not overdo the partying and whoring which, on the other hand, is unavoidable since this is not 1994 anymore and gay porn pays very little (3k to 6k per video, if you are curious, which is quick cash if you really need it but ultimately useless) so all of them escort. The ones that remain consistent with training, roids and stuff usually enjoy the gym/bodybuilding scene so it's not difficult for them and it makes them stay longer. Particularly clever ones either will build a fanbase to exploit monetarily or invest the money wisely (Brady Jensen, for instance, wanted to become a bodybuilder and ostensibly used gay porn to fund that goal but eventually he got off the porn wagon, became a realtor, continued with his bodybuilding career, married a girl and lives seemingly happily somewhere in California)
So, to summarise, they'll pay your roids but you need to bring something back. If you're just not very interested in the gym and gym culture, roids will do you just a very basic shape. And a very basic shape won't take you far in gay porn, unless you go to niche genre which will pay less and which both our subject matters did, particularly kink.com stuff, which is not the worst of the worst, in principle.
Now you may be wondering why gay porn stars have more in common with female porn stars than straight male pornstars as in they're usually vapid BPD cases with absurdly fucked up upbringings and quite often rather unintelligent and uncultured.
In a lot of cases, a fucked up upbringing is highly conductive of the likeliness of both trooning out and doing porn. Also, Cluster Bs are extremely widespread amongst LGBT people. To top it off, roids do amplify Cluster B traits.
Roids will fuck your brain up and will turn you into a conceited, paranoid, neurotic mess. Roids will also make you hugely horny.
There is this idea on the forums that there is a high prevalence of trooning amongst bodybuilders, which I cannot verify from my own experience in different gyms across the years. The only cases in which this seems to be true by what I can take from the cases seen in the Farms is related to fucked up mentalities in which bodybuilding is used as a way to take the gay away and once the individuals in question come to terms with the fact they like dick they troon.
Which is not exactly true for most bodybuilders as most bodybuilders do guys in some way and they're usually fine with it within the complicated etiquette that exists around it. Trooning out is for particularly fucked up cases.
But in the case of Vaughn and Hart, they trooned out because:
a) They were particularly fucked up as individuals
b) They were particularly underwhelming physically despite roids
c) They were particularly unremarkable as porn models
d) They got involved in the kink scene, which is a huge risk factor to trooning out.

There's multiple answers but single nights seem to be the cheapest, not counting room, board, & travel. It's like an anime convention except it's partying and banging. Better than furry conventions still.
How much do they cost to throw is a good question too, but that would have to depend on venue, activities, who's hosting, etc..
