Hi I'm new. If you bully me, I WILL cry.

I wanted to draw last night during MATI so I made a wizard Halloween costume for the news hamster.

Included in attachments is a transparent 1920 x 1080 PNG so maybe it could work as an overlay in OBS without any adjustments. Idk though. This was just for fun.

I put on my robe and wizard hat.

Democrats plan four-hour live stream with Twitch and YouTube stars
Excerpt:
On Friday morning, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) will kick off a four-hour live stream from a Washington rooftop overlooking the White House with some of the biggest political Twitch and YouTube live-streamers.

The creators include Clara Sorrenti, known online as Keffals; Steven Bonnell, known online as Destiny; and Ian Kochinski, known online as Vaush. The agenda says they will be discussing issues such as climate change, affordable housing and student debt relief.

The FBI agent investigating the friends and family of a J6er in solitary confinement? The CIA agent grooming a lost boy on 4chan to shoot up a school? The IRS agent reviewing every $600 purchase you've made? The NSA agent masturbating to the nudes on your GF's phone? All of them are sent home, without pay, for the duration of the shutdown
Every service and agency you just mentioned are except from the shutdown because they are either considered "essential services" or have funds specifically for that situation.
The only services that are really shutdown are those that would inconvenience the average taxpayer, not those that would inconvenience the government. You would have longer lines at the TSA, the national parks won't be cleaned, and the social security/healthcare bureaucratic services will be even less responsive than usual.

The "shutdown" loophole that could've hurt the government has been closed a long time ago. It's just a circus now.

I am very confident a large amount of federal employees are furloughed during shutdowns but I unfortunately don't have a source that can prove it to you.

I am aware of the "essential services" clause and it even went into effect during the Obama shutdowns. An example is Michelle Obama's pet project "Let's Move.Org" was kept up as an "essential service" while the entirety of NASA was shut down.

While I do agree that some FBI, CIA, IRS, and NSA agents will manage to avoid furlough, every agency is forced to make difficult decisions because there is only so much "essential funding" to go around. Also, as the three-letters continue to fuck with conservatives, the less likely they are to qualify as an "essential service."

Finally, contractors are more likely to get essential funding than federal employees because the US will take a ding to its credit rating if it fails to meet its contractual responsibilities to its various industrial complexes. This means that, statistically, the higher up a federal employee is on the pyramid of evil that was posted earlier, the more likely they are to get furloughed. I have it on good authority that the feds towards the bottom of the pyramid of evil love shutdowns because the people most affected tend to be the pricks at the top.

I just thought of a really excellent thought experiment for those of you that may still be skeptical that the sycophantic feds are affected by shutdowns.

Let's try to put ourselves in the shoes of the Jews that run America for a bit: One day, your subordinate runs into your office and exclaims: "Mr. Shekelstein! Those Nazi members of the Freedom Caucus have thottled our looting of their treasury for a few weeks! We need to decide what to cut."

"On one hand, we have your most ardent supporters in the federal government. Every one of them would die for Israel. They'll report their own friends and family to the FBI to keep the their pension. Do we help them keep food on their table?"

"On the other hand, we can ensure the various financial commitments of the federal government are maintained, so the green line in your investment portfolio continues to go up."

What decision does Mr. Shekelstein make in this scenario? What would he designate as the "essential service"?

another one to add to the list of company need money before the strike which we don't know when?
Hi everyone,

As we shared earlier, we are laying off around 16% of Epic employees. We're divesting Bandcamp and spinning off most of SuperAwesome.

For a while now, we've been spending way more money than we earn, investing in the next evolution of Epic and growing Fortnite as a metaverse-inspired ecosystem for creators. I had long been optimistic that we could power through this transition without layoffs, but in retrospect I see that this was unrealistic.

While Fortnite is starting to grow again, the growth is driven primarily by creator content with significant revenue sharing, and this is a lower margin business than we had when Fortnite Battle Royale took off and began funding our expansion. Success with the creator ecosystem is a great achievement, but it means a major structural change to our economics.

Epic folks around the world have been making ongoing efforts to reduce costs, including moving to net zero hiring and cutting operating spend on things like marketing and events. But we still ended up far short of financial sustainability. We concluded that layoffs are the only way, and that doing them now and on this scale will stabilize our finances.

We're also making some divestitures. Bandcamp is joining Songtradr, a music marketplace company supporting artists. SuperAwesome’s advertising business will become an independent company under the SuperAwesome brand, led by their current CEO Kate O’Loughlin. Kids Web Services (KWS), the parent verification and consent management toolset, will remain part of Epic.

Saying goodbye to people who have helped build Epic is a terrible experience for all. The consolation is that we're adequately funded to support laid off employees: we’re offering a severance package that includes six months base pay and in the US/Canada/Brazil six months of Epic-paid healthcare. We’re offering to accelerate people’s stock option vesting schedule through the end of 2024 and are giving two additional years from today to exercise the options. In the US we’re also offering to vest any unearned profit sharing from their 401k. And we’ll provide benefits including career transition services and visa support where we can.

For those still at Epic, you’ll hear more from senior leaders about the path forward for your team. Epic’s prospects for the future are strong. We have amazing game experiences across multiple platforms. We’ve built the best engine in the world, and will be hosting Unreal Fest next week to bring the community together and spotlight the things they are building with Unreal Engine and UEFN. Creators are making a living building for the Fortnite ecosystem, with time in third-party games now exceeding first-party.

We're cutting costs without breaking development or our core lines of businesses so we can continue to focus on our ambitious plans. About two-thirds of the layoffs were in teams outside of core development. Some of our products and initiatives will land on schedule, and some may not ship when planned because they are under-resourced for the time being. We’re ok with the schedule tradeoff if it means holding on to our ability to achieve our goals, get to the other side of profitability and become a leading metaverse company.

@Null Could you share the raw image for the news hamster? I would like to put him in a funny outfit for a certain segment of your show (not related to trannies/pedos).

Josh, as an infinitely privileged cishet white male, you need to be educated on how to use your platform appropriately, you bigot. It's fantastic to see you amplifying the voices of transgenders, pedosexuals and those of proud African ancestry. That being said, you do not give a proportionately appropriate platform to the noble asian-identifying middle easterners who are just as deserving of attention as any other POC or marginalized group. You have a moral obligation to begin your reparations by culturally enriching your audience with the unique and diverse culinary musings of this first generation immigrant.
