Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Now for your weekly D-SW summary

Spoiler: AHSOKA EP7

-Hera is about to get court-martialed, but Leia bails her ass out from beyond the grave via Threepio.
-The NR Senate is ignorant as hell, not even considering the fact that two Dark Jedi annihilated an entire ship's crew while also stealing hyperdrive parts from a NR shipyard infested with Imperial cronies, which obviously speaks to a larger operation, especially considering the fact that they had the resources to assemble a fucking EXTRAGALACTIC HYPERSPACE RING.
-Captain wingman tries to bring up Gideon instead, and gets ratio'd by the asshole senator dude who claims that Gideon was a lone warlord.
-Ahsoka finally gets to the new galaxy, runs into a minefield, the whales leave her to die, and after some cat-and-mouse games, she gets to Ezra and Sabine, who are beset by Shin, some bandits, and some Stormtroopers.
-Dark Side Titus Pullo senses the ambition of his apprentice and leaves her with Thrawn's forces. Off to find his own thing instead, he runs into Ahsoka. They duel, Pullo wins again, but Ahsoka chickens out and has her dropship fire flares on him so she could escape. Pullo bugs out from the fight, which puzzles Thrawn.
-Ezra and Sabine have some chit-chat about catching up, Ezra protects his flock from the bandits, (good shepherd analogue) Shin and the Stormies fight them, but the tide turns when Ahsoka shows up and bails their asses out of trouble.
-Thrawn still calls it a win because they've wasted Ahsoka's time, the troopers are almost done loading the Nightsisters' baggage on to Chimaera Airlines, and they're about to leave.

Sorry guys, no Abeloth. We're going to have to wait until next week to see if she'll actually show up.

I do admire the fact that they're sticking with the idea that Dark Side Titus Pullo is superior to Ahsoka. A lesser writer would've had him bisected by her now that she's had her near-death power-up and costume change.

Oh fuck this shit. Mirialans used to be one of my favorite races for tabletop RPGs. Then the Rat took over and suddenly they were no longer only green and yellow, but also purple. And now they're muslims? Only because Luminara and Barriss wear nun-like attires?

Did they also say that about the Tusken Raiders?

I’ve always thought that line was ironic since Tusken Raiders are able to hit 800mph+ pod racers with slugthrowers, while the stormtroopers have such shit accuracy that it’s become a pop culture meme since the first film came out.

I thought episode 7 was pretty good. Especially compared to what came before. Probably to late for it to actually matter.

I was more partial to episodes 4 and 6. 7 felt more like a small skirmish and a repeat of past matchups. Especially with Titus Pullo winning against Ahsoka again. If episode 8 doesn't bring in the storm, then this show risks ending with a whimper instead of a bang, like Mando S3.

That, and Ezra not grabbing his saber from Sabine but then using a gun kinda sinks his whole "I've got the Force" thing. So he doesn't want to use his saber, but he's more than OK with stealing a gun from a Stormtrooper and gunning more of them down?

The force is his ally (plus this gun he found). I also thought 7 wasn't as good as the others, but I wouldn't say any of them have been outright bad like in Mando S3 or just Kenobi as a whole. Next week is probably gonna piss a lot of people off though since it's obvious Thawn isn't dying.

Titus Pullo might die next week. It'd round out his character and be a nice send-off to Ray. But it's obvious that Thrawn is just being set up for a future work, be it a Disneyverse version of Heir to the Empire or Ahsoka Season 2.

I do admire the fact that they're sticking with the idea that Dark Side Titus Pullo is superior to Ahsoka. A lesser writer would've had him bisected by her now that she's had her near-death power-up and costume change.

The senator busting Hera's balls is indeed funny, if anything because Hera is completely incapable of being a politician, but the man is obviously being set up to be wrong a la Borsk Fey'lya. He's going to have so much egg on his face when Thrawn shows up, that you can hit his face with a frying pan to make an omelet.

I don't think he's an actual traitor. He shows up in SW: Resistance as the main character's father.

Sony has hidden all mention of it, as well as hidden all trailers for it on their official YouTube channel and livestream platforms. No official statement has been issued, and with no update in months, people are speculating that it's been outright cancelled.

...which if true, means that this shit was announced, cancelled, restarted under a new studio, and then cancelled again.

EDIT: Sony has attempted damage control by stating that they privatized the trailers because they included "copyright music"...which doesn't explain why they couldn't just release an updated version of the trailer with the music removed, OR why they would also delete Tweets and all social media posts relating to the game with no video footage whatsoever.

Ill say this for disney wars. As bad as everything else is, at least most of the games tend to be decent because they are outsourced to people who actually give shit.

They still are not nearly as good as the originals (that they've recently been remastering out of desperation) and take forever to make anything, but its something at least.
