I just want to reiterate how retarded it is to define "objectivity" as "taking both sides at 100% face value." This would mean that the "objective" thing to do, when on a jury, deliberating over facts, contemplating the known fact that the defendant is a serial liar, is to consider him innocent against all reason...because he said so when he testified. You wouldn't be impartial and objective truth-seekers otherwise!

Actually, the "objective" thing to do is to use reason and common sense to weigh the evidence. That's the whole point.
