It's sad that our society is so broken that the obvious, logical answer is caricatured in your mind as JuSt As CaRtOoNiSh as the inevitable consequence of an entire half of society metastasising into cancer over one geological night. I'll try to lay it out without mumbling.
Society is an organism. At the highest, most complex, level, you have the sub-continental identity. Zooming in, you then have your national, provincial, civic, neighbourhood, block, familial, and finally individual identities
The individual is the organelle, the family is the cell. You can't pierce the cell and have organelles spilling out alone into the lymph (the streets) - that's called cell death, and on a societal scale that looks like elderly folk dying alone, maybe with cats eating their faces, until a passerby notices the smell.
A collection of families (cells), the block, is a tissue. A collection of tissues is an organ (neighbourhood). A collection of organs is a system (city). Certain systems working together (like respiratory and circulatory, for example) is a province. And all the systems together make an organism (the nation). And then all your nations (organisms) together, the sub-continent, that's another society at that larger scale.
And it doesn't take a mEaNiE PoOpOo-hEaDeD mAd TrAd ideology to observe this structure. You lezbo witches, you would say, "that which is below corresponds to that which is above, just as that which is above corresponds to that which is below" in the longform or "as above, so below" in the shortform.
Society, as the collection of all families, was the evolutionary adaptation that propelled weak, naked, humans into the present day.
When women in the industrialised societies denied their biological reality, as the nucleus of the cell (the centre of the centre of society), abanonded their responsibility, and left the domesitic lipid bilayer to wander around in the lymph, that was the beginning of the end. It's a form of suicide and a form of genocide at the same time, and you might not understand that until you're dieing alone in your apartment and there's no young people to take your place.
Feminism is cancer, not just a metaphor, but literally. Now it's metastasised, and whereas women were growing uncontrollably out into the male spaces, now men are growing uncontrollably, alone, into the domestic spaces with their fuck dolls and 2D wyfus and whatever or even into the little female colonies out in the man's world, like the locker-room. Expecting a feminist to recognise the problem is literally asking a tumor to consider maybe not being so liberated and free and going back to what those cells are supposed to be doing. Feminists complaining about troons is two tumors competing for the same space.
It would take so much humility to admit that one is not called to be the Girl Boss but the Mom, the Wife. That's an internal struggle, the mortification of pride, that has to be fought on the scale of the individual.
On the societal scale, men could force women back into their place at any moment (male propensity for violence, right?). Men evolved to be bigger and stronger than women as an adaptation to the selfishness of women. And women evolved selfishness as an adaptation to being the centre of the centre of society. It would be a White Blood Cell event if it happened. But I don't think it will happen.
It won't happen because men are evolved to love and adore women (what's supposed to be the homeostasis to the propensity to violence). That's why they allowed women out into the lymph in the first place. And that's why "patriarchy oppression" is such an incredible thesis. It's not credible because men allowed women to deny their role in society, they permitted women into the professions and into academia. That was a mistake. Feminism is men's fault, not for being oppressive but for refusing to be the discipline that they're supposed to be as the bigger stronger one (huge Garden of Eden vibes, here). A man can't discipline a woman until he disciplines himself.
The answer to this problem is not to further metastasise society into a collection of individuals who do as they will, that just doesn't work - as we should be able to just observe. You need organs. Organs needs cells. And the cells of society are families.
