The weasel-around that I see is that Clum said he didnt "pay Boogie," but there was no specific mention of covering travel expenses for the trip to Cleveland. If Boogie didnt have to put any money out of pocket for the trip but can claim it was "profitable" due to tweets or videos made on the trip, he can claim he was "paid for" the trip, as opposed to starting $500-1000+ in the hole for travel. (of course either of these claims rely purely on the absence of direct evidence to the contrary, not on any evidence in his favor)

so who's lying, Mikey?

Boogie not telling the truth on Twitter and lying about his finances? Come on now, that's crazy talk. Sure be inconvenient if the guy you're claiming to be paying you denied paying you...
So Boogie 'wasn't paid', which I would take to mean no direct transfer of funds. I'm sure Clum paid for incidentals (like the date for the documentary, meals, etc.), but unless he's playing some mind ninja semantics game bullshit Boogie is probably just a fat liar.
I think MC is in fact based out of Cleveland, so maybe they were filming additional scenes? Maybe Steven twisted his arm into paying for a couple nights at a hotel and some meal vouchers (Dezi can eat off his plate, don't worry), but that's not earning anything... It's just subsidizing costs, he's still in the red at the end of the day.

so who's lying, Mikey?
