If you're going to be safe and unassuming, you need the content to be interesting. No, safe-edgy doesn't count. In fact thats worse. It's not just the fan insulting. It's the zero effort content.

The LA "wholesome youtuber" bubble is full of people who make videos about the most inane things and still manage to get millions of views because their videos are edited well and are fun to watch, even as background noise that you forget as soon as it ends. If Ian still had Content Cop-level production on his new, AI-generated topic videos, people would still watch him. There's a guy who got millions of views on a documentary of traveling to every Rainforest Cafe in America. But now that Ian's had his soul ground into powder by the harpy who's got him on a leash, he's given up on everything, including his content. He's just going through the motions.

Anyway, Ian just autistically hums after she asks him about it for like the 3rd time. He says it was because a guy walked past them and he "Looked like an iDubbbz viewer".

He would probably curl up into a ball and cry if some Frank Hassle type actually went and fucked with him (Unlikely since most people are not even aware that he streams regularly). He already shuts down completely just from sheer paranoia.

The stream has about 244 viewers at this time. Anisa is disappointed. She thought a stream like this would get at least 400 viewers. iDubbbz is less delusional and says that it makes sense because nobody wants to click on some randoms walking on the street, but thinks the solution is to make it clear to the viewer that they're doing "nice" things like eating lunch. He calls eating lunch "content".


As to why Anisa eventually ends up being the one reading the chat? She just asks for it, out of the blue (oh and almost runs into traffic because she's busy looking at the phone :story:)


Anisa doesn't like to take pictures with fans. Would rather stay out of them (okay... then don't whine when fans don't know who you are and don't interact with you).
