Leonard French has been doing legal content on Youtube since January of 2016. I'm sure there's probably older channels legal channels if you look hard enough. Nick didn't start till late 2017.

I was away for a few days and the first I heard about any of this was an Elissa clip of Nick describing the stream with Eric. I knew he was full of shit, but comparing Rekieta’s version of the story with the reality really does bring into sharp focus just how utterly detached from reality he is. And that was while I was listening and didn’t see his hands shaking and him greedily suckling his bottle.

It is terrifying to know it’s possible to be in such extreme denial and almost pass as a cogent person. Nick is barely in decent enough shape to stream; there is no way he’s able to be a present and engaged father in his condition.

Eric was beinging entirely reasonable and his point seemed to me to be that Riley is an unpredictable junky and if he were caught and confronted the situation would.have likely escalated to somebody getting hurt. I think that's true, especially if the security guys saw him hanging around for 2 days straight and then caught him fucking with the window at night. How could they not think he was intending to break in? It's at least simple trespass. The rest depends on whether there is an actual sign of some sort, raising it to criminal trespass, or if July had told him to stay away. (Nick actually posted the statute.) Actually defacing the property is at least criminal mischief of some sort, and probably vandalism. And they can always throw in some other form of disorderly conduct. So it's minor stuff, it may not have been criminal trespassing, but probably criminal mischief of some sort.

If he'd been verbally or otherwise ordered to stay away it would be criminal trespass.

You can make up any legal facts you want about a "shooting" that never happened and probably be right about something. You can also create any potential legal outcome you want by stacking the facts one way or the other.

What would happen legally depends on a whole lot of individual facts about what the shooter and the person shot were doing at the time the shot was fired. You can invent selective hypotheticals all day long to make it murder or self-defense, but legally it would come down to very specific facts. It would also very much depend on the county it happened in within Texas. Because the legal system's reaction to trespass violations is far from uniform in Texas.
