Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
October 6, 2023, Charlottetown - RCMP continue their investigation to locate Élora Patoine. RCMP have learned that her last known sighting was on Albert Street in Moncton on June 19. She was last seen wearing a brown faux leather jacket, black pants and had a school bag with her. RCMP have made use of the new Missing Persons Act as part of this investigation.
If you have information concerning the location of Élora Patoine please contact Prince District RCMP at 902-436-9300. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

October 3, 2022, Borden -Carleton, Prince Edward Island…Prince District RCMP is asking for the public's assistance in locating 30-year-old Élora Patoine, who was last seen in Borden- Carleton on June 17, 2023.
Patoine is described as 5-foot-10, 140- 150 lbs and has curly brown hair. She speaks French and English and has connections to PEI and Quebec. She was reported missing this week.
When someone goes missing, it has deep and far-reaching impacts for the person and those that know them. We ask that people spread the word through social media respectfully.
The RCMP Prince District and RCMP Major Crime Unit are investigating.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Élora Patoine is asked to contact Prince District RCMP at 902-436-9300. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Albert Street is where Moncton's largest wet shelter and public mental health clinic are located.

My first assumption was that, if she were alive, she'd be headed to Moncton and Dieppe. That's home to the largest urban francophone community in the region. It's also a place full of homeless folks and cheap drugs, as well as a thriving boho-type community. The Albert Street shelter sees hundreds of people pass through it daily, so if she were in Moncton without money, that's a good spot to start looking for her.

Problem is, she's kind of a generic curly-haired French girl who could look like many of the faces seen around town. The only thing that would make her stand out is her height, which is a bit above average. Could she get to Moncton? Sure; hitch a ride across the bridge and into town since most traffic coming into NB from PEI is headed to Moncton.

Yeah, any reports of sightings should be taken with a grain of salt. There have been tons of missing persons cases where there are hundreds of eyewitness tips insisting the victim was sighted in X, Y and Z location in the weeks and months following their disappearance, only for it to be revealed that they were dead the whole time and eyewitnesses were either mistaken, faceblind or attention whoring.
