2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

This is a highly coordinated attack by probably a few hundred people under the cover of a massive rocket barrage. Numerous IDF soldiers killed/captured, multiple IDF vehicles captured and god knows how many civilians slaughtered, lots of pics/video of Israelis gunned down all over the place. One particularly gruesome video of 7-10 people all executed inside a room being livestreamed.

Monumental fuckup on their intelligence's part is an understatement considering who the Palestinians are supposed to be.

Probably high. This is very far from a few idiots with AKs doing magdumps at targets of opportunity.
Ya Israeli politics was already a shit show before this. Idk what Netanyahu will do. I thought his whole claim power was to keep Israel safe and this happens I can see him getting sacked from his right wing coalition.

Also, is anyone else having trouble uploading videos at the moment?
Yeah, site is acting mildly funky as of the last hour. FYI, Kiwifarms shat the bed royally during the 2021 Gaza fiasco, so having the site fail when the Levant gets spicy is becoming a KF tradition (might be worth saving the first few posts of this happening).

Monumental fuckup on Israel's part. Im guessing this is where the pics of the 4-5 executed soldiers in their bunks is from.
How does Hamas achieve "victory"? Seize as many Israeli hostages (human shields) and weapons as possible, retreat, and demand food?
If theyre smart. Already a number of videos of Isrealis being kidnapped and brought into Gaza.

Seems like terrorist attacks with the aim of gathering a bunch of hostages to trade for Hamas prisoners from Al-Aqsa.

Not sure why else they'd be streaming themselves Christchurching that bomb shelter and there's at least one video of Hamas not letting a prisoner get lynched by a mob.

This was victory for them.
It was a gut n run if they're smart.

Most likely just a gutting and die though. I don't think anyone who went in expected to get back out alive. They just want to do as much damage as they can.

hard to have sympathy for "civilians" who knowingly, willingly, and culpably moved into settlements built over bulldozed homes of other "civilians". Still, the imagery is visceral. A good reminder that neither side are the kind of people you'd want to have watching your back in any case.
Yup, all the nasty shit Israel has used and abused the US with for the past few decades makes it hard for me to feel too bad for em.
I just mostly hope it was military / government officials that took the brunt. I doubt it though.

Hamas is LGBTQIAA+ friendly I Guess. Wanted the gays to know whose side they're on.

For what its worth they're claiming Hamas captured or seized a base too. That's wild.

there gonna be a lot of photos and vids like this. coming out over the next day or so.
Second picture is from the barracks.

Hamas also captured several female Israeli soldiers who apparently aren't stationed on the border posts so they managed to surprise some other base deeper inside. Hamas claiming to have 35 hostages so far.
