I'm ahead of the curve, I read that shit voluntarily the year before we were forced to read it. I'm not gonna lie I don't remember it really well but with all the effeminate little emotions in that book it is obvious, but 7th grade me did not have the life experience to immediately notice. The way the community acts, I can see why they're compared to women. The behavior with them is very similar to the pick me thread where you'll get ousted for wrong think, while they're getting trampled on by every other minority group to the point where they're taken the least seriously out of all of them. It's like they want a horse in the race, but they're too bimbofied to really think for themselves. And that's just scratching the surface.

It's funny too because they tend to be the face of every gay guy, but for the people that have met gays outside of the community who do their own thing, the feedback is generally pretty positive. Being "one of the good ones" just means having your own identity and not taking yourself so seriously.
