Was that tank just driving around completely unsupported by infantry or other armored vehicles? Drones are really changing the face of battlefields.

You misunderstand. Hamas just used a bulldozer and tore down the wall. Go into Israel, find a home that only has unwanted people in it (Israelis), and decide you are going to live there.

Now, 18% of your entire country are pissed off religious extremists with weapons squatting in your country. Additionally, 22% of your original population is now displaced. What do you?

Anyway, don't care about Israel much but seeing civvies getting massacred is no bueno, F for all the people that got killed for no reason.

Not to mention that Israel has a large Arab population of 1.9 million where at least 15%~ of them will be sympathetic towards Hamas. It's a difficult situation and Israel is in the most precarious state it's ever been in. Very hard to maneuver around this crisis especially with all of the internal political strife in the Knesset and waning US support.

Their entire cultural identity (and economy) revolves around being seen as oppressed victims, getting rid of their pet aggressor would fuck up their whole racket. It's like how every megalithic regional cable ISP keeps a shitty little satellite ISP around so they can't technically be called a monopoly.

What matters is if it is a shaped charge or not, which is a directional explosion utilizing the "munroe effect" ideal for penetrating armor without requiring velocity and is utilized in most rocket launchers. you can see the fins that should help it point the shaped charge/trigger straight down. It landed almost directly on the breech of the cannon, likely igniting ammunition/propellant that was loaded and ready to fire

There is no proof it failed. But its not unlimited. Its a system made up of missile batteries that are not bottomless.

They spammed the air with 3000 cheap rockets. Israel only has so many $150k a pop missiles racked up ready to go. Overrunning it is just a numbers game.
