A number of the people "killed for no reason" are ultra Orthodox Israeli settlers who use the superior might of Israel to steal land from the Palestinians. They view the Palestinians as human garbage. The Israeli government has encouraged this settlement policy for decades with the help of the US. The Israeli settlers take Palestinian land and bulldoze their homes.

So yeah it's wrong that truly innocent people suffer and die, on both sides, but these Israeli 'civilian' settlers aren't blameless either. They are essentially thieves backed by the might of the military.

Let's not forget how this started.

If nothing else, this is an enormous intelligence failure.
We are not talking about 3 guys planning something in a basement but several hundred terrorists in a highly planned and organized attack that would have involved many thousand of people.

Planning, organization or many thousand people, sourcing and building thousands and thousands of rockets, sourcing weapons, boats, ...
Funding it all.

They planned, prepared and executed this without the intelligence community even suspecting something was off?

I'll believe it when I see it. I suspect the Israeli retaliation will be extremely "proportionate," and therefore utterly ineffective. Proportional response is some bullshit from the '90s meant to make military action more palatable to normals and faggot, it has never been and will never be an effective or successful strategy. The only way to win a conflict against an enemy capable of attacking you is to make them incapable of attacking you. There are usually a few ways of doing that, but the other instruments of power are unavailable against stateless entities.

As I said before, this is probably the first and possibly the ONLY time Israel can truly neutralize their closest enemy without retaliation from their other enemies or unbearable sanctions from their allies. That they will instead choose a neutered, ineffective, 'proportionate' action speaks volumes.

It does seem incredibly fishy, but it could just be the IDF isn't nearly as competent as people think they are.

Intelligence didn't fail, there were warnings as far back as the end of July that Hamas was preparing a big attack. Just like first Yom kippur war it's all hands on deck rn but multiple resignations in IDF and political leadership once the fighting stops

Yeah, the Iron Dome is good. No way to go around that. But its not infallible or magically a bottomless missile bag. You launch enough rockets at it, it will run out of rockets to rocket your rocket with. This can happen totally naturraly without any gayops from anyone.

And even if your rocket is dumbfire, cheap as fuck, if it has a grenade for a warhead, it can still land in a street and kill a few israeli civilians so the Iron Dome can't even ignore them.

Its important to remember Israel for the last few weeks has been utterly consumed by the Supreme Court Reform protests. I expect its just a case of Myopia. The senior bosses were focused on one thing, and ignored the other. After all, Hamas stockpiling weapons is nothing new. They do that every day.

since everyone in israel has to serve in the army once they reach certain age, that means that there is going to be plenty of greener female troops on the frontlines.
