Edit: (somewhat off topic speculation on my part): earlier today the government was just reviewing whether they should stop payments but this evening the governmental parties lost two state elections with the right gaining significantly. This could be them abandoning an obviously loosing position quickly.
So they fucked themselves over because now the lefties and muslims wont vote for them. Nobody who was going to vote for afd is going to be moved to the other side just for this.
Hell, many unironically hate israel, the neocon israel worship is mostly a US thing, not in europe.
