Jim's freefall started at January 10th 2021. So it's 2 years and 9 months of constant unsubscribing. From 927k to 770k.

He's not outright said, my money is because Jim's 'husband' Phoenix is from the area and has had a kid who likely still lives in it.Why did he choose the North again? Was it to be close to his brother? Why on earth isn't he living it up in diverse London?
I don't think I've seen so much dedicated unsubscribing before over such a long period. It's impressive how much of a fuck up Jim is.Jim's freefall started at January 10th 2021. So it's 2 years and 9 months of constant unsubscribing. From 927k to 770k.
Most declining youtubers either pivot over to something that some portion of their audience continues to want and the bleed dies off, or crash out entirely and vanish, at which point the "oh look who showed up in my feed, why am I still subscribed to them" becomes moot, and any further decline isn't documented as nobody cares to pay attention.I don't think I've seen so much dedicated unsubscribing before over such a long period. I disagree with that last bit, he's not pumping out unevolved content, as plenty of people still pump out the same shit and still get views as well as growth like Zero Punctuation and Report of the Week. Hell, even someone who hasn't mattered for ages like ShoeNice is still maintaining his current subscriber levels. It's not that impressive.
To constantly succeed at YouTube - you have to constantly innovate. Look at content from a few years ago (even someone like Markiplier or Pewdiepie) to today.
Jim is just pumping out the same tired shit week after week - only now with the innovation in the space, he's less likable, less professional, less informed and late. It's like comparing a newspaper to live TV news.
I mean specifically the format.I disagree with that last bit, he's not pumping out unevolved content, as plenty of people still pump out the same shit and still get views as well as growth like Zero Punctuation and Report of the Week. Jim just found a way to make worse content that no one wants to watch and alienates former viewers. Even idubbbz hasn't had such consistent bleeding of subscribers in terms of percent.
I'd agree if Jim's growth had just stopped. No matter how good your content is, for 99% of channels you will eventually hit a soft cap where everyone who'd be interested in your content has found it, so you'll get the odd new sub now and then but never hit another big milestone (case in point, I don't think Jim would have ever hit 1 million subs). At that point you can comfortably continue to pump out the same content for the rest of time and enjoy relatively consistent numbers. It's not that impressive.

That is correct. Contract work typically fucking sucks because they do not need a reason to not bring you back tomorrow outside of "we have nothing to give you". It's great when there is work to do, but once that dries up, you'd best have a backup plan for more work.My understanding with any kind of contract work is that you're more than likely not to end up with a permanent gig at the end of it regardless of field, hell in one of the quotes Jim uses the person is clearly being hired for the busy Christmas period and should've expected to only be there for that. There is almost certainly some abuse going on but I can only look at contractors being surprised they're being used and thrown away as naive.

DSP has (unintentionally) evolved though.Even DSP manages to stay at just over 200k despite pumping out dozens of zero-effort videos a week that barely crack 500 views. Whilst many may be dead accounts, it seems like short of some major scandal it takes a lot to make someone actively unsubscribe.
I really don't wish that on anyone, I'd much prefer the reverse where Jim was severely injured because he's too fat and lazy to assist his opponent in doing their moves. The best he can hope for is "first trans wrestler to severely injure/kill an actual female in the ring".
He's way more likely to injure someone else and he wrestles women.I really don't wish that on anyone, I'd much prefer the reverse where Jim was severely injured because he's too fat and lazy to assist his opponent in doing their moves.
Which leads to question - how much each youtuber will be trimmed of his dead subs?Even DSP manages to stay at just over 200k despite pumping out dozens of zero-effort videos a week that barely crack 500 views. Jim's content gets worse because he can't help but fill his videos with his faggatory, troonery and sexual degeneracy. If he stuck to his old formula of just making videos without all of that, or at least with it toned down significantly then he would at least slow the subscriber loss.I disagree with that last bit, he's not pumping out unevolved content, as plenty of people still pump out the same shit and still get views as well as growth like Zero Punctuation and Report of the Week.
