Sounded to me like some relative or friend was concerned enough to talk to the cops but they just had JFG’s story about her going on a trip, so they didn’t have a reason to open an investigation. Obviously he lies a lot but that bit sounded to me like a convoluted attempt at telling a partial truth while spinning it in his favor. I hope her family does care about her and I hope they tell their side of the story soon.

In this day and age we assume that if a situation is serious, it would automatically be on Facebook or Twitter. I would not be surprised if they had been looking for her while avoiding JF's notice. I certainly wouldn't want to tip off this scumbag before I had proof he needed to die if I was placed in these circumstances.

Disposing of a body in this sort of over complicated scheme is a waste of time, if you want to get rid of a body you just need to get it onto a landfill site - if it gets dumped on landfill it will never be found. It will be crushed under piles of other trash, and noone will ever find it because it is too dangerous and too dense to properly search through.

There was a case in the UK where someone went missing. His phone was deemed to be on a landfill site, and when searched they never found it. The weight of the bin was determined to be about 90kg heavier than normal. The weight of a large man. The last bit of CCTV footage sees him enter an alley but never leave it - bins were picked up the next morning.

Despite knowing he was there, where he was roughly on the site and when he was deposited there the search of the landfill found nothing.

It's odd, but there are more than a few ways you could explain it ranging from them not caring about her, to JFG telling the truth when he says this sort of behaviour isn't it out of the ordinary for Mama JF so it's not surprising to them.

On this note it just occurred to me that given that JF keeps repeating how he made a point of dropping her off at a gas station that he knew had cameras so he totally wouldn't be accused of murdering her, he makes it sound like he's concentrating on the idea that he was trying to get himself recorded on camera as having been at the gas station to drop her off. It makes me wonder if his intent was to get her on it as well or not, or if he's stupid enough to think driving there and making sure a camera saw him specifically somehow confirms his claims that he dropped her off alive and well.

It also occurs to me to wonder how exactly he knew that particular gas station had a camera and that it was functional. It doesn't sound like he just randomly picked that one cause he drove past it with her at the time and figured it would do. The way he talks about the situation makes it sound like he checked the place out beforehand and knew he could get himself recorded there. Now what reason could he possibly have had to go out of his way to do that before any of this even happened? Thats premeditation shit right there and looks pretty suspicious, especially considering how things have gone since then and him being so adamant about making sure he didn't kill anyone when he dropped them off. I can't remember the last time I had that concern when I dropped anyone off anywhere

my first approach would probably be to load it on a pickup truck, drive it on a bridge over a river or lake at night, and dump it into the water when nobody's looking.

You're definitely right about it being a really stupid idea to dump anything incriminating at the dump, though I wouldn't dump a mattress in the water. It would be found pretty fast. It would make more sense to cut it up, put it in bags are bury it out in the woods. or burn it if possible. Remember its a mattress so it would likely have your DNA on it as well to some degree, especially if any sex ever happened on it. Finding that would lead to a blood stain and your DNA so you'd be pretty much screwed. Drywall isn't that different come to think of it. Bloody drywall would have the victims blood, likely fingerprints of the person tearing it out if they didn't wear gloves and likely at least some DNA of the person who ripped it out, possibly even of whoever painted it under any paint that might be on it

Landfills are the worst places you could dump a body. At least in canada. RCMP regularly send out cadaver dogs to check them out and they're among the first places to be checked when theres a a missing person and murder is suspect. Over the years they have found a fairly large number of bodies of hookers and runaways at many of them. Frequently natives, and even the government has been pressured to keep an eye on such places by native groups because its a common place that dead native hookers and such get dumped
