But actually, can we think about this on a grander scheme? Especially with the whole "shoot up a fucking music festival" incident? Despite how fucked that was in it's entirety. It's scary to think what we can do now. 1200 dollar paramotors, have some friends hang on with bolted on seats or hand made harnesses and fucking invade an area or take off. And with the wide world of the internet, easy access to information for programming and electronic parts. Even singular people can be massive fucking threats.
I have a friend of mine who got his mechatronics degree in Puerto Rico and even he said "A dude who knows how to program and make drones can be a dangerous motherfucker."

I think it is excellent, it helps balance the power that civilians can hold against their own government. The government should fear the people, not the other way around. The drones have really been an eye opener, ~$500 plus a proper munition load and you can take down a tank that cost a million plus dollars to produce. It will also avoid anti-missile defense.

Another example if you have manufacturing capacity, a $10,000-$50,000 suicide drone can deliver accurate, effective strikes from 600 miles+ that once again beat most of the modern air defense system. It's a new perspective in war that you don't need to spend 20 million on a drone to be an effective weapon aka predator drone(though the 20 million dollar drone has more capability). I'd rather have 400 suicide drones (high range of estimated price) than one predator drone.

The paragliders are a very unique strategy though, doubt they would work in most situations as any alert military should be able to shoot them down with conventional weapons quite easily. Now for an initial assault to avoid radar, I'm interested to see how well they avoid radar detection. Maybe we'll see some usage by other insurgency groups in the future, though I'm doubtful if their useful except in a very limited circumstance.

Prior to this terrorist attack, I think the most dangerous event at a music festival was that 2017 Las Vegas shooting at the country music festival when about 50 people died.
