Plagued Waifu culture - Cartoon fuckpillows and the men (and women) who love them

My waifulogical research has led to watching some episodes of Sora no Otoshimono; I'm tempted to say that I understand now how this show would appeal to a dorky teenager. The concept of a submissive buxom angel dropping out of the sky, adressing you as "Master" and programmed to fulfill your every wish probably was an attractive fantasy to him.

The show sort of reminds one of Dragonball Z if fights and super transformations were replaced by nonstop pantsu jokes. I also feel the characters should be more polite to Ikaros.

That said, on /r/waifuism I probed their (I mean the waifuists, not the SnO characters!) opinions on anime girl robots and raised the question whether these should be equipped with sufficient independence to turn down romantic advances. The general consensus was that NO, said robots should serve their masters no matter what, they should be sweet and obedient and, most of all, follow Autistimov's First Law: "A robot may not friendzone a human being". My notion that sentient anime robots might decide they were better off without humanity and leave earth in order to found their own nation on the moon was not met with enthusiasm.

I also got chastised for not using proper waifuist language and heretical thought.

Um, no, it isn't.

TL;DR: This whole thing seems to be like a totalitarian sect, with strict rules one must adhere to at all costs and without even the slightest sense of humor -- in the last respect, they are actually sort of like Ikaros.

I think in that case it would be best to go with the flow as a parent and watch the series together with the kid. Then do some things which distract him from his obsession, like non-anime-related media and books, maybe take him on a little field trip or two, show him how fascinating our own planet is. That way, the need for escapism would be reduced.

Looking up where the waifu of this weeb came from, it's an anime with a pervert protagonist. That could mean it's pretty much a cartoon with fan-service that could would be borderline porn. Unfortunately, his "love" for a fictional character was too strong. At least he could be nominated for a Darwin award in dying for a non-existent character.

This thread seems like the optimal time to balance out my ratings with autistic/islamic/power level ratings.

I am part of the waifu "community" so feel free to ask me about my autism, but I want to tell you guys about a clusterfuck that happened on 8chan's waifu board called "trapgate". Unfortunately I was unable to get screencaps of it before the board was nuked. What happened was two of the moderators apparently met at a convention and fucked, one was a tranny hence the name.

The entire board spiraled out of control and basically for the next while the board ended up just becoming a huge clusterfuck of people yelling at each other and pretty much killed the board. There is now much less of a community there and it's slowed down tremendously. Even the word "polygamy" is going to start a shitstorm.

I'm not going to say who my waifu is but I will answer the second part. She is a villain in her series, though later on she is seen in a more sympathetic light. A lot of why she's like how she is was due to her being abandoned and isolated for a lot of her life. While in the context of the story she had a much worse life than I had I still did empathize with the feeling of being alone and isolated.

She is pretty mean at times but deep down she is also quite sweet and I like both of those aspects of her.

I'm still shocked that someone actually committed suicide over their waifu. I guess I was sorta holding out hope that even the really super serious ones were just secretly having a laugh. But suicide over it sorta cements that there are people that are 110% serious

I'll try to make it up by looking for more content of that Rikafag, that guy who publically admitted to CP and other weird, deranged shit. He latched onto a lot of different groups and was typically often banned for obvious reasons like talking about his pedophilic tendencies and history and a lot of people downright hate him. I'm sure someone has some of his...interesting posts saved.

I think some people were actually trying to have him reported to Canadian authorities as they actually knew his Steam account but weren't technologically skilled enough to actually find him.
