you want a scramble for africa 2.0, it would be an insanely expensive and bloody war of conquest, probably impossible to complete successfully unless you want to literally giga-genocide half the continent with nuclear weapons before going in.

and you want a UN mandate in israel/palestine? your UN peacekeeper troops will constantly get ambushed and picked off by guerrilla forces, both muslim and jewish groups will fight your occupation. it's just not worth it.

Media outlet who reported that the IDF hasnt had reports of this is a Turkish outlet called Anadolu

I don't know anything about IDF border defenses, but generally the communities near the Gaza border will have some reservists with weapons living in them. Those guys will get calls when a border crossing is detected, muster up, and confront whatever potential threat is out there. Obviously when the enemy comes in force, that is inadequate.

I'm surprised how easily everyone here is emotionally manipulated by both sides without question, and blindly accepting most news and images from social media. It's pretty easy to use AI images and clean them up, or just use unreleased photos from previous conflicts, maybe a combination of both. That's worth thinking about every time you see anything to do with this conflict. They're also both posting the most heinous shit to trigger your emotions and stop you from employing your prefrontal cortex for diplomacy.

I think this was allowed to happen as a gateway to finance another long war with how quickly the West has jumped to encourage genocide and engaging directly with Iran despite history between Israel and Palestine. Ukraine has petered out, now it's this war. Change the channel, let's go. Moral outrage serves as just a fraction of the keenness to enter for financial purposes. The West has donated shit and spare ammunition to Ukraine, financed the rebuild with Blackrock, and now has clearance to manufacture brand new stuff for this new front. Israel is champing at the bit to genocide with international assistance that it needs to even exist in the first place, and everyone who manufactures what's required will profit. I'm sure there will never be a two state solution to keep this hell going. If anyone says no to being involved, you can bet Mossad will fuck their shit up like the last time America tried rounding up their spies and was rewarded with 9/11.

You are being primed to support your taxpayer dollars being used for this war now in addition to Ukraine, and you'll do it, because 40 babies. Doesn't matter what the history of the region is, what the consequences are for another meat grinder, just moral outrage for social points (pick a side!!! Is it in that exact configuration, or do you mean it has an A2 style fixed carry handle? Because that picture shows an A4 style removable carry handle which you could just take off with thumbscrews, and then mount an optic of your choosing on the rail. The front sight doesn't need to be removed to be used with many magnified optics- I have a carbine with both a front sight post and a 1-6x LVPO, and the post completely disappears as you zoom above 2x.

If it is an A2, DO NOT have it chopped just to kludge some rail onto it like it's 1984. People are paying crazy money for just an A2 upper receiver with rear sights right now because there's a resurgence in the popularity of retro builds. Here's a Colt A2 upper selling for $305 with 6 bids and a day left on the clock:


The carry handle mounted optics work fine, they're just a bit high for most people's liking. If you really want to modernize it for a good cheekweld and maximum versatility you can just pay like $70 for a railed upper:


and then any competent gunsmith could swap the barrel to that receiver quickly and fairly cheaply. It simply involves removing the gas tube and unbolting the barrel nut from the old receiver, then doing the same in reverse on the new receiver. Then you can flip the loose A2 receiver on gunbroker or whatever and use that money for the optic
