When you're trying to get to the terrorists who are hiding behind 40 civilians, or the weapons cache they've hidden under them, and the civilians stay there on purpose or are forced by the terrorists to stay there, it's an entirely different story and it's 100% fine to bomb that target and the civilians' deaths are on the head of the terrorists.

Most of these strikes are probably based on ages-old information, educated guesses and traitorous civilians in Gaza who saw somebody who maybe kind of looked like this guy my cousin knew who used to go to the same restaurant as this Hamas dude and might get paid a few shekels for it.

Both sides are actively killing civilians because both sides actively despise eachother, and none of them are trying to minimize civilian casualties. Anything they say to the contrary is complete garbage propaganda that you'd have to be a retard to believe at all.

So how do you propose reacting to human shields? If the IDF called off every attack because the target was surrounded by civilians, that would make it impossible for any actions to be taken. The way I see it, best you can do is to warn people to GTFO and tell them where a safe corridor is then go for the target after a while.

I haven't really seen the whole "human shield" thing actually happening that often. The US made the exact same claims in Afghanistan and the Afghan people almost unilaterally supported the Taliban because they knew it was complete horse shit. Hell I saw cases where the Taliban didn't detonate IEDs because there were too many civilians near our patrols, and we weren't using civilians as human shields. The whole thing of it is, you're going to be operating closer to civilians if you're inside your own borders because the civilians aren't going to immediately run away from their own soldiers.

On the VERY rare occasions when you do have civilians being used as human shields, that's a very case by case thing. One dude shooting at a helicopter from an elementary school rooftop with a pistol is not worth dropping a JDAM on. A crowd throwing rocks at you while people mixed in are shooting at you? That's a case where it's probably better to not worry so much about shooting the human shields.
