General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

The term "unit" is an idol one sort of like "band" im sure irys will still have solo songs just means therell be group ones too. Its more likely just a way to name their group songs without saying council(rys). Because group names are important for search terms.
To me it really sounds like they completely drop the vsinger branding so Irys becomes a "regular" vtuber. In Suisei's and Azki's case vsinger was more of a debuff than a buff (different branch but still). But we won't know what will really change for her until she talks about it herself. I wouldn't be surprised if Cover cut the funding for her music.

But in more pleasant news: Regloss released a pretty nice cover of Realize from Lisa

Wonder what caused it.
Rrat time: Merryweather announced on social media that he was downscaling who he works with in terms of "lore" content for vTubers and in turn, focusing his efforts on his newly formed group. However around the same time this happened, Vshojo seemingly begun to distance themselves from him and would go on to hire a male in K9. My belief is that he is somewhat bitter about not being considered as the first male due to the workload he produced on behalf of them. Hence his comments of "betrayal"

Subject of Vshojo, would appear that Juniper Actias may be the next hire planned. Seems the company is heavily expanding it's roster. Indie space on Twitch is becoming more uniformed.

Juniper already confirmed that it's not her.

I checked if Irys talked about her situation and she really did. What she said would be funny if it wasn't so sad:
She said that Cover more or less ran out of ideas really quick and there wasn't really anyone in charge of the vsinger project. She basically was on her own so even if Hope is now closed down nothing really will really change. As a side note: She doesn't want to limit herself to being a singer and stream as much like before her sickness.
She starts talking about it at 11:17 if the timestamp doesn't work
Absolutely insane - jp corpo at it's best

A 17 minutes long clip of Astel talking about some stuff in VCR Ark. Since sometimes Astel tends to be a little all over the place with his thoughts, I will do my best to give a compact TL;DW.

Astel talked about why he stopped his "cursed" arc. The reasons were two. One, his fans were having mixed reactions to it. Two, it wasn't making money.

Astel talked about something he talked about in the past. About how he doesn't want to be a goodie two-shoes, because there is no challenge in that. Now he adds, that if the endgoal was money, he could just take advantage of fans, have a smaller fanbase, do BL, and then gather as much money as possible, while interacting with other content creators off stream. He doesn't find that fun and challenging, that is why he prefers to interact with other content creators on stream as well (and on twitter too).

The less chances for merch may hurt, but he is still making enough to be comfortable. And he is happy with the help he gets from management, and with his fans overall. The rest are Astel being Astel.

Akirose and Roberu interacting in VCR Ark.
