2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

I've been seeing the fucking mainstream news guys acting like the recent HAMAS stuff is "the worst thing since the holocaust". Not in a "oh t's been a long time since a warcrime against jews" thing but instead acting as if terrorist actions are somehow the same level of several allied countries governments rounding up thousands of their own fucking citizens for extermination based on nebulous shit like religion or possible genetic history. The spin is in full fucking effect and it genuinely disgusts me.

You didn't see the newly opened store in Gaza?

Can someone answer a question I've had since I was a kid?
Is it really just the religious thing + colonization?
The land sucks, doesn't it? Maybe a couple thousand years ago it was fertile, right, but it sucks now. It's just a shitty desert. Yes, I understand the history and geopolitics of it all, but I always feel like there's some extra element on like a spiritual or emotional level that I'm missing or just incapable of seeing. Some additional emotional connection in a way I've never experienced personally. Does it feel different to be there? Does the land itself hold any particular beauty in addition to its religious significance?
Basically two things:

1. It's better than the real desert around it because of the Jordan River.

2. If you wanted to go anyplace decent in the ancient world, you had to go through the Jordan valley.

Unfortunately the land of milk and honey looks more like the surface of the moon in reality.
That's part of what I've always struggled with. I understand it all on an intellectual level, but as an example.
If I believed this was my holy land:

And I was in the exact situation as either side in this conflict, there's something additional there where there's some primal monkey-brain part of me that goes "This is a beautiful thing. It has water and food and I want it for my people."

That part of my animal-mind doesn't trigger in the same way.

Maybe it was beautiful in the same way as the first image once long before they started bombing the shit out of each other without end, but whatever was there is lost now.

I just realized Israeli youth sure have a lot of money to blow on travelling around the world going to trance raves.

From the instagram of the rave company that was near Gaza. August 15th.

when everything you need is provided by the american tax payer it frees up a lot of income for things like traveling to raves. it's like seeing nigger on welfare driving nicer cars and with newer phones than i have.

@talk talk talk just opened my eyes about the contrast between the Jordan River Valley and the surrounding desert, so maybe it's just that.
If you only knew dust and sand forever, then the valley would seem as lush as the first photo I posted up there in contrast, so it would trigger the same emotional effect I was describing.

I used to play Starcraft with two dudes from Israel way back in the day, they're both in their mid-30s now like me. I've kept in touch with one of them over the years, he was a mechanic for the tonks and all that when he got drafted 15 years ago, the other guy ended up being a sniper. The guy I've kept in touch with said both have been called up. I assume the other guy is on the Gaza border doming dune coons atm and the first one is somewhere near Gaza too keeping tonks tuned up. I haven't heard from him since Monday, which I assume is the day he got the notice to report immediately

He said the Chosen really are out for blood this time. They give zero fucks about what the UN or media or anyone says. Total Gaza Death is not a meme

The jews that got shoah'd while tripping balls simply licensed the name, the Israeli organizers that ran the death camp is called Tribe of Nova

Water plays a major role too. Israel currently administers the Palestinian's water rights. Meaning they are allowed to draw virtually nothing from the aquifers and rivers. My understanding is the Palestinians have to pay for bottled water to be trucked in.

Imagine working for illegal settlers for shit wages and then having to buy water from the at a huge markup.

Imagine being retarded enough to go out and murder the same people who fucking supply you water, and then expect the neighbors and friends of those you murdered to keep giving you water after.

Big brain Hamas think right here.

I can't say how much I say how much this is again how after 2 years everyone just goes back to islam is ok. I know some Jews now that'll say carrying pistols on their side is, at any age, just escalating it.

It's made me sick.

Carry, do what you can, and don't worry so much about it all. Cause those in the depths of it in Israel really don't give much of a shit.

That look like Haiti-Dominican Republic border.

And now some folks said then Hamas weapons came from Russia. *shrugs*

I wonder if the big brain move for Hamas would be to release all the hostages and take the pounding. With the hostages released it will be a little bit easier for the useful idiots in the west to wash the image and get more development cash again
They just released a hostages. The release was broadcasted on Al Jazeera.

edit: supposedly they were released a few days ago, so not just now.
