Fence sitters aren't going to help anybody anyways, I doubt they care about the optics of massacring civilians enough to give up what could be their last chance. Hamas doesn't have infinite time, relations were being normalized between Israel and normally hostile countries, it's been a while since they had any real tangible success, there's currently a few conflicts that this may all blend into the next few months, and probably a number of other factors. Waiting forever could permanently destroy Hamas' ambitions, they don't exactly have infinite money or clout to throw around for allies either.

The raid forces a reaction not only from Israel but from every country that surrounds it as well, and if the Israelis decide they're going in and trying to decimate Gaza, then everybody else may just find the inclination to go in and decimate Tel Aviv in the meanwhile, or, at least, that may be the intent. In any case, if Israel goes into Gaza, then Hamas gets an opportunity to grind the IDF into a defeat, phyrric victory, or massive PR disaster that could embolden the Muslim world to the point where a war could happen anyway.

It's not particularly hard to get non-kosher stuff, there are lots of foreign stores and even restaurants in most big cities. whats really hard is getting a permit to raise pigs, there's some retarded ass law about live pigs not being allowed on Israel soil or some bullshit.

You misunderstand me. I am not saying that Christians should go and have a crusade. I am demonstrating that using this to argue that the Jews have a claim over the land, because ‘their’ artifacts are there, is absurd, by the fact that (using myself as an example) not everyone views the Jews as a legitimate successor to the Faith of the Hebrews.

muslims are even allowed to eat pork and other haram foods if it is the only way to avoid starvation. they dont get punished for skipping prayer when higher forces are at play either (like in the middle of a disaster or a war)
the point of islamic law is that you must make your best effort to follow it. if something outside your control causes you to fail in your duties, that's not on you.
