2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

Now there’s an awkward tie-in with Russia and a remarkably wide open path for all of this to expand
Russia isn't going to do shit. They have let the IDF bomb the Syrian with impunity for years. They are not exposing their Syrian presence now while waging a war in Ukraine.

Can somebody explain to me WTF the Assad regime is doing?
Assad is almost entirely reliant on Iran to stay in power (Russia couldn't provide enough ground troops to keep him in) so I doubt he has much autonomy of the matter left.

Can somebody explain to me WTF the Assad regime is doing? As Alawites the vast majority of Hamas/ISIS types consider them subhuman apostates, probably even worse than Christians. If Israel were somehow to cease to exist, they'd pretty much be next up on the chopping block, especially if some sort of fundamentalist sort of Islam was installed elsewhere, in Jordan, Palestine, etc. Yet there they are, going balls deep against Israel. Or is that just talk?
Don’t think of them as acting independent. There are US troops on the ground in parts of Syria, and the regime is entirely propped up by Russia.

Think of it as part of the Russia/China/Iran axis

alawites are in power but sunnis are a massive majority in syria. assad needs to pander to them, keep them happy to stay in power.
plus the main reason why assad managed to survive the civil war is iran backing him up, and iran is hardcore anti israel, so better get in line if you know what's good for you.

As this conflict might be wrapped up by Halloween, what are your opinions on going as a dead Hamas terrorist as my costume?

It's a shame "terrorist retard who paraglided into power lines" is so hard to do as a costume. Maybe Heidi Klum can pull it off?

The archive seems broken so I went ahead and screenshotted everything current as of 10/11/23 :(

Nooo bro you can't use our own cancellation techniques against us nooo that was supposed to just be for people who think lesbians shouldn't have to suck girldick and people who mildly criticize university DEI programs nooo let us go back to alternatively calling people Nazis and celebrating the slaughter of Jewish civilians nooooo

@Catch The Rainbow what sort of propaganda you get there to make a father pray his dauther to be dead than alive in gaza?

How much propaganda is really needed to make someone happy that his child at least died a quick death instead of being kidnapped, terrorized, possibly assaulted, and then beheaded on camera or blown up after weeks of suffering?

My glorious homeland, the White peoples wakanda, has decided to side with our jewish overlords.

Also some soldiers on the street

WHO and Red cross are reporting that the all health services are on the verge of collapse. Not that I have any pity on them, but it means that when the ground invasion happens there will be a lot more casualties.

I wonder if some people in Gaza are regretting their electoral choices right now and the dancing in the street stuff. Probably not, they still hate the jews and they are still hoping for the virgins in paradise. Only that they won't get painkillers on the way there now.

The article text misses the tone of what he says. Here's the interview (not sure why they're calling him Irish, unless he's an Irish citizen - clearly sounds English)

The poor man is completely brain broken and traumatised. He's having a different reaction to the mother of that German woman who's in complete denial, because he doesn't have the luxury of the denial, as he was there, so he is aware of the brutality. Like any father he wanted nothing more than his little girl to be miraculously found safe and unharmed and returned to him. But he knew that wasn't going to happen. He's also showing British restraint by not saying the entirety of what he was thinking - that thought of "what they do to people in Gaza" and she could be there "for years", he's not just thinking she'd be living in poor conditions and scared. So he's trying to hold it together that maybe the attack was so sudden that she got shot to death before she really had time to be scared, and even if she didn't have that merciful a death - the unsaid bit - she is at least not getting gang raped to death or kept as a child sex slave and tortured before eventually dying.

Also don't watch the interview if you don't want your day ruined.

“Why did a bunch of inbred, sub-80 IQ, religious fundamentalists, who hate Jews and have been propagandised into martyrdom end up attacking Israelis in a manner that doesn’t seem strategically thought out?”

Geez, I wonder.
They had support from someone with a brain in making their plan of attack. 75IQ durkas didn't come up with that paraglider tactic. The question is: who was that someone and what is their goal? It may be Russia since this is turning out to be an excellent way to divert resources from Ukraine.

I wonder if israel will just not give them food water and power anyways even after the hostages are free.
The problem here is assuming that the hostages are alive. Israel is fully aware that many of them have been killed by now, and thus has no reason to turn anything back on. There's going to be some Lord of the Flies shit in Gaza by tomorrow as people start dying in droves from dehydration.

The Israeli government is being very deliberate with their statements. They use this to give some plausible reason for keeping starving them. Because if they want humanitarian aid, it is reasonable to demand the release of at least the civilian hostages. It's smart because Hamas has no good option here, admitting they already killed the hostages is obviously more bad PR and not releasing them (because they are dead) also hurts them when they are crying for "muh humanitarian aid"

I find it also interesting that the leadership said they won't carpet bomb Gaza but only target indentified military targets. Technically a true statement, but since hamas uses a lot of civilian buildings for cover/storage/installations the de facto result will not look much different.

Syrian air defenses confront an Israeli aggression targeting the vicinity of Damascus International Airport - An Israeli aggression targeted Aleppo International Airport and Damascus International Airport.

IDF spokesman: We bombed Damascus and Aleppo airports in response to the firing of mortar shells from Syria

Related: Iranian FM Abdollahian is scheduled to visit Damascus soon

But I thought getting the HAMAS terrorists was Israel's goal?
