Probably (it'll vary from state to state some) but only if he can show it is an economic hardship and that he can do it without prejudicing the client's rights.

Yeah, the implication he gave was that he'd been practicing 10+ years and was a successful strip mall lawyer in Central Minnesota. He'd even mention shit like "yeah, I've done tree law, it's interesting and makes a lot of money because of how Minnesota interprets tree damage" that gave the impression he was fairly knowledgeable and did a variety of cases. First time I recall it being revealed Nick was not a veteran lawyer was when J. - Nick opened that he was hungry and the day had been 'magnificent'. This was sarcastic. He was busy today. He overslept and was busy.
