I’m going to a “street art festival” tonight in my area (my girlfriend likes gay dumb shit like that) and I’ve been thinking about it in my head since Monday; I’m not really sure whether an event like that will be the place where the proglibs in my area will be having any kind of pro-Hamas/pro-IDF march (read: riot).

I usually leave the house with some kind of (legally carried) weapon on me anyway, but after this week’s work I’m just too tired to deal with any of that boolshit. Maybe I’ll take some photos or video if anything happens (doubt it)

tl;dr: people in my area are either too lazy/comfortable or overworked to really give a shit about Israel/Palestine.

Question that I’m sure has a different answer depending on who you ask…
Why is it that some people when talking about this conflict say dead “Jews” instead of dead “Israelis” or “civilians”.. especially when Hamas wasn’t particular about who they were mowing down when this all started.. I keep seeing people say this is an attack on Jewish people where as far as I can tell this isn’t about religion at all but a clash of two different groups of people who probably weren’t really meant to live together.
I feel like XYZ being claimed as “antisemitic” gets used as often as “racist” or “transphobic” when I often don't see it that way. It’s like the term has kind of been overused when I can’t take it seriously.
If I’m missing something please fill me in.
