Science fiction writers don't need knowledge of 5th grade math, child.
Sci-fi has degraded greatly and the authors seldom have any concept of anything more than high-school level but, as usual, Patrick manages to be the biggest retard in a room of already stupid people.

It's time to bring out Patso's high school transcript, again. Note a few things about it. The absence of AP Classes and AP exam scores. AP classes are listed on transcripts. The absence of AP exam scores is not conclusive proof that Patso did not take the exams, since not all school systems include those scores on the transcript. However, all transcripts include PSAT, SAT and others, like the ACT. Note the absence of any such scores on Patso's transcript. This is conclusive proof that he never took those exams. 'Tis unusual that he would take AP exams for college credits, but not the exams required by colleges for admission. Simplest solution: Patso is lying.
Has anyone asked Patso about his SAT scores? Come to think of it, I'd bet his standardized test scores put him below the 50% percentile. He has no extra-curricular activities and there is no evidence that he did anything. Patso is not a low-achiever, he's a no-achiever. Except in the weight department. He's achieved a very high weight. The Fatness. He drinks heavily so that even his liver will get fat. Eventually he will post a selfie while wearing one of his many old, too small t-shirts and we will see his liver outlined.
