Do you believe that this series will turn to shit?

Honestly, if the leaks are true and that Husk/Angel dance scene was just a bait and switch for the trailer buzz and allude to the possibility of them being a couple, then I will give Viv props for all of the Huskerdust art she likes on Twitter, even though if the leaks are to be believed- she has been knowingly giving people false hope on the ship. I can only imagine the fallout if it turns out to be true.

But for me, a diehard Husk enjoyer: I don't particularly care if the ship is canon. I think it is his best ship, and I wouldn't mind if it is a thing. However, my biggest reservation is that Stolitz exists, and everyone knows what that is doing to Helluva. The track record so far doesn't indicate that the ship would bode well for the show's health. But who knows, I suppose we will all see in January.

Hearing about the idea of making "our own" version of Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel does intrigue me, though there are still some worries. Remember all those fan games of "Yandere Simulator"? Granted, those all failed because of young amateurs trying to make a better version of a triple A style game out of spite. As long as we don't fall under the same trap, it's very much plausible for this to succeed. I think making it in a comic would be the best approach since there is so much that goes into an animated show. (Believe me, animating itself is very time consuming. And that's not including the aspects of what goes into a show.)

Since I don't really have a better place to put it and everybody else is doing it, here's my attempt at a minimalist Stolitz rewrite.

Stolas and Stella are trapped in a loveless marriage. They have to maintain their image for their family and station, but although they love their daughter they just don't care about each other any more. Stella mistreats Stolas, not because she hates him personally, but because it's her way of coping with a shitty situation. Stolas copes using avoidance and infidelity.

Blitzo and Stolas cross paths when Blitz is trying to get his dickbeaters on the power of Stolas' book. They end up spending the night together. For Blitz, it's a business transaction. For Stolas, it's... well, it's not that he loves Blitzo right away, but it's at least something DIFFERENT. An escape from the world he finds himself trapped in. As it goes on, he develops genuine feelings for Blitzo. He's a dick, but he's unpretentious and completely unconnected to Hell's elite families and power games. Blitzo doesn't react well to this and tries to avoid Stolas until eventually realizing... fuck, this is the only person who actually cares whether I live or die. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to give this a chance. Because that's Blitzo's fear, right? Dying alone? Having someone who genuinely cares about him would be good for him, and something he'd find attractive.

It's probably not the best or only way, but I think that would be a lot more interesting and believable than what we got.

Hopefully we get the cast reveal at ComicCon. If for no other reason than to see the reactions of the fandom losing their shit because all of the pilot cast is gone.
Thee fandom is not losing their shit as much as I thought they would. How very disappointing. But than again the news hasn't even been out for 24 hours yet so the night is still young

Charlie is the best of the new VAs so far, her singing sounds a lot like Elsie Lovelock's. Vaggie and Angel are okay I guess. Will need to hear more for full judgement.

Everyone except for Keith and Alex is a literally who, figures. That said, Alex being Pentious feels like a really weird choice.

Edit: Oh damn apparently Vaggie's VA was Mirabel in Encanto. Still haven't heard of most of these people though.

So what's even the point of Hazbin as a series anymore? Like the show set up lore that Helluva kinda just fucked over completely. I'm sure others have mentioned it already but seemingly hell isn't that bad to be in and you just have to avoid getting murked once a year to keep living the life. So what's even the point now to try and get people to reform?

According to Helluva there already are demons/imps that are essentially reformed or at least "good" "people" so wtf even is the basis for a bad person now? Seemingly the demons are either villains like that outlaw guy I don't remember the name of who kidnapped Stol, or you're just some asshole like Blitzo. Hell even Helluva already established that Heaven is also shit if the C.H.E.R.U.B schlubs are anything to go by.

From a lore perspective this series makes no fucking sense unless you're just supposed to wholly ignore one in favor of the other.

Would be an interesting spin if she made God very strict on certain values (homosex) but I don't think the writers are good enough to pull that off.
