People seem to forget that starting a war takes time it's not like you're stupid hearts of iron or other autism simulator were you just press a button and wait two seconds and then you can move an army; in real life war takes time and we often are used to the beginning shot but for countries that aren't the United States (and even then same with the United States) prep work, staging and other more mundane parts of war, take over. The air campaign and the odd special forces operation are the more immediate actions which we've seen. It's easy to launch an aircraft, conduct a bombing mission and then return. The Russians when they invaded Ukraine for the second time two years ago, had months of planning and staging. I remember very clearly looking at satellite imagery of the Russians staging blood banks, medical bays, armor, etc before launching their operations. During this time NATO and the West were making claims telling the Ukrainians at the Russians were going to invade and the Russians were saying it was just training and not to worry; but that's a different conflict. There is a buildup it is happening. For all the people who think that this is propaganda I really beg of you to look at the stuff that the Hamas terror organization has actually published. They do not shy away from there crimes nor their actions, instead they laud them. The Israelis will take their time in doing this conflict they want to do this with as few casualties as humanly possible. The Israelis really suffered a major blow at the beginning of this war during these terror attacks one week ago and they do not want to raise the death toll. The Israelis were under the impression that all they had to do was "trim the grass" that being keep hamas's military barely functioning so it's less of a threat to Israel proper while they focus on the diplomatic efforts to further isolate Iran and its Palestinian proxies. While Hezbollah, Hamas and the other Iranian proxies including Iran have spent over 20 years planning for this major war. Israel wants to do this right and it doesn't want to deal with this stuff again so it will have to plan correctly and accordingly and safely. The Israelis know that world opinion generally does not maintain in their favor, regardless of what many people in this side of the internet believe the Jews are held to a double standard ,even more so, the Israelis. The Israelis normally they get about 30 days to act before the West starts crying about dead Hamas Members and even then they're held to extreme restriction. The Israelis want to conduct this operation as successful as possible without harming their international image but I think at this point it doesn't matter and they will conduct how they need to conduct just like how the United States operates. I know my explanation doesn't help people's blood lust and general bullshit that is what's going on. I will say one thing, If you're here just to watch Jews and civilians die then you're automatically an idiot and you should just spend your time huffing petrol because you'll have a much better time than screaming about how much the Jews suck. I hope my posting can clarify some things.

Even if they do nothing, aggressive posturing will divert some IDF attention, resources, and manpower away from Hamas/Gaza to them. The IDF being fully mobilized like this puts a huge strain on Israel's economy and even though it seems like they have Hamas contained in Gaza again, they need to stay fully mobilized due to groups like Hezbollah and Iran acting threatening and to deter any interventions. With Ukraine going on and how controversial this conflict is, I wonder how much welfare Israel/IDF will get to maintain its current mobilization.
