If I'm not so mistaken, UK police can't even carry firearms, with the exception of SWAT forces.
It's truly impressive, how the left was able to emasculate British police forces (or British society in general) so effectively.

This was always the case, though. Peel's first principle was that the police were not to hold themselves above the citizens they served, so they were deliberately not armed with anything more than a batton. This was in contrast to the old (often private) city guard they replaced, who used their status and power - and easy access to weaponry - to lord over civilians and extort them.
If the police needed weapons, they were expected to borrow them from nearby citizens and return them once they were finished. Obviously, this doesn't work when the citizenry are disarmed and the police no longer operate with the consent of the people. They're back to being the corrupt watchmen they were supposed to replace.

British police will rough people up in custody rather than in public, they're very concerned about image. They won't police anything that the ruling classes consider "progressive", regardless of how fair it actually is. That's something people forget, there is CCTV cameras inside people's homes in Britain and all social media is strictly monitored. You can get arrested for something you type or say inside your own home, while pakis rape underage girls and turn them into kebab to hide the evidence, scott free. Germans are the same, albeit without the cameras(I think) and France is just as bad.

There were no cameras in any homes at any point.
What your other article leaves out is that the overwhelming majority of those 6 million cameras, about 98% in fact, are privately owned and operated. In other words, the state has shit and fuck all to do with them. If you were to count cameras in the US by the same metric, it would have more cameras per person than any other country on the planet.
The problem of the police trying to sneak in facial recognition, by yelling WHUDDABOUT DUH KIDDIES N TERRORISMS is real, but the hyperventilating nonsense about a police camera on every corner is just bullshit.
